Reposting my review after it was inexplicably moved to a hotel in broken arrow that I’ve never been to. I’m not sure if what happened was deliberate or accidental.
Having visited this hotel for a number of Tulsa Remote events, and visiting the restaurant regularly, was looking forward to an opportunity to do a staycation here and see if it measured up to my expectations. So far, it’s not.
Checked in and immediately called about a flickering light in the bathroom when I got to the room. After 2 hours, no one had arrived but the flickering stopped so I told them it seemed to be working. It’s worth noting the hot water only trickles out of the faucet and is mostly unusable. These are both things I would have expected housekeeping to notice when they cleaned the room.
Somewhat frustrated that a Diamond member gets a view of a brick wall in downtown but at least the AC works. Perhaps my disappointment so far is based on the circumstances that brought me here:broken AC in my apartment half mile away when it’s 100 degrees outside.
Speaking of air conditioning, there seem to be a number of reviews complaining about the noise but this was not something that bothered me. I ran the fan continuously so it acted more like a noise machine and between it and the cool air, I had a good nights sleep.
Regrettably, I’ve had to visit the front desk three times now to get my bill fixed regarding my Diamond credits for money spent in the bar and restaurant. 3 days later, it has not been resolved and my stay has so far cost me $54 more than it should have. I have been assured twice now that it would be fixed yet this morning I discovered a new charge on my credit card for the hotel stay.
UPDATE: after a 4th visit (the wednesday after my sunday morning checkout) my billing issue was resolved. In all, 4 people on subsequent days assured me the issue would be taken care of that day, only the last one (the Director of Sales) followed through on...
Read moreWow, where do I begin! I am from Australia and visited the beautiful city of Tulsa. I stayed at The Tulsa Club for 13 days. What a VIP experience. The rooms are just divine. The historic building has so much character and historical charm. The Chambers restaurant was magnificent with food fit for anyone's appetite. The cost for my stay and food was nothing compared to the excellent service provided from the time i was welcomed by the charming bellhop(s) to the exceptional bar staff who learned my favourite drink! Now that's service! The chef definitely loves his Job as it shows in his food, delivery. The front counter staff always had a smile and helped me out when i asked a millions questions. The many people who I met working there overall made my stay amazing and I felt very welcomed. It's definitely a must stay experience for anyone person. They also allow dogs! Just saying. I didn't have one but you need to know. I am definitely returning soon for...
Read moreRead before booking: Long time Hilton diamond here. I've stayed at The Club several times (and have another stay on the calendar). For the most part, I've had a good experience however after my last stay, I was sent an amended invoice that included a $250+tax smoking fee. Funny, I don't smoke. Upon further research, I've found other reviews on different platforms (Tripadvisor & Yelp) from customers like me with the same issue at this hotel. Isn't is also ironic that after being open for years, there's only 4 Google reviews? It appears as though management is trying to bank on corporate travelers not checking their hotel receipts.... I, of course, will be disputing this charge with the Hotel, and my card company if needed, but this shouldn't be my problem. It's nearly slander in and of itself. It's end of year and my final expenses on my corporate card are due. Better hope this is...
