This was the most horrible experience I have ever had at any hotel. I booked this hotel courtesy of Tulsa Remote. From my understanding the fees were suppose to have been covered by Tulsa Remote program. When I got to the hotel the person checking me in apparently the front desk manager who I told I was here for the Tulsa Remote stated she had upgraded me to another room and then told me there was a $75 incident fee for each night of the stay. She never gave me a total amount for the room nor confirmed any charges at all and just stated from what I heard the $75 incident fee. So I handed her my ID and Card. As I go up to my room I get a notification that I had been charged $400 to my surprise. I put my stuff down in the room and walked right back downstairs to the front desk. Upon inquiring the young lady told me that she did tell me that I was paying for both nights plus $75 incident fee. I which I informed her no she did not. I never heard her state any total for the room otherwise I would have stopped her to figure it out before moving forward and paying. So I asked to cancel the reservation while I wait on Tulsa Remote to provide the information that was needed. And they refused to cancel the 2 nights stating that housekeeping was not available therefore they could not release the reservation and I have to stay both nights. Mind you I have never heard of a Hotel refusing to cancel a reservation at all due to housekeeping not being available ever. And this wasn’t for 1 night stay this was for two nights. Even after Tulsa Remote ended up rebooking me at their normal event hotel stating that they have had issue prior with the Hyatt and reservations for people coming in for the program they refused to release the reservation charging me for two nights stay. Refused to provide me with policy detail stating that I could not cancel the reservation due to housecleaning not being available and refused to provide me a receipt that shows that I checked out and did not stay. So they charged for two nights that I did not stay at the hotel at all. I reviewed their cancellation policy which stated that cancellation had to be done 24 hrs prior or a 1 night penalty would be charged but I was being refused the option to cancel at all. If they had charged me 1 night due to cancellation policy that I could have understood. Further more they threatened to contact the police on me when I kept inquiring for proof of documents for stated policy as to why they couldn’t cancel both nights and stated that I was trespassing with mind you an on going two night reservation still active that was paid for if I did not leave the hotel. I have never been treated like a criminal at a hotel that I had stayed at. They stated I was causing a scene because I was inquiring for proof of policy that stated otherwise. This was my first time at HYATT HOTEL....
Read moreI travel extensively and this is the first negative hotel review I've ever written. However, this hotel is so poorly run I felt compelled to write a review to shed some light on the challenges at this property so that others know before booking.
ROOMS: Clean, comfortable, and the bed is to die for. Also love the black out shade on the window. I stayed on the 12th floor and the view was lovely. However, housekeeping did the bare minimum. I stayed for a 5 day business trip and by the fourth day I was down to one towel. I told the front desk and it never got better. Housekeeping just made the bed and picked up my dirty towels each day. There was a bag of someone's doordash garbage that was left outside near my room and it sat there for two days.
RESTAURANT: At the end of a long day, I decided to eat on the property. About half way into my meal, I realized that the broccoli on my plate was covered in MOLD. (Yes, I had already consumed some.) I told the waiter, who took it away, then returned to tell me that the chef just got that "bag of broccoli" today and disagreed that it was mold and that he thought it was "dirt." (It was definitely mold.) So, they were arguing that I should eat dirt? They comped that meal but offered nothing else.
FRONT DESK: Although the gals at the front desk were friendly and welcoming, they need training. I called down for a hair straightener one morning (it's on the list of things that can be borrowed.) 45 minutes later it hadn't arrived so I called again, and the girl told me, "Sorry, I got a lot of customers right after you called." I told her I had to leave and to please send it up to my room for the next day. It never arrived. I asked for my fridge, which didn't get cold, to be repaired or swapped out. It didn't happen. After two days of asking I gave up on the fridge.
VALET: This location has no parking and charges a high daily rate for valet. Worse, it often took 30 minute or more to get my car. (they promise 15 minutes) One night upon arrival back to my room I sat in my car 30 minutes waiting for valet. I finally gave up and went inside to give my keys to the front desk and they resued the keys and said I had to wait in my car. I sat out there for a few mintues more and the front desk gal came out and told me she'd take the keys.
This is a beautiful properly with some serious challenges. This stay made my work week considerably more stressful. Not what I would...
Read moreTo start, it baffles me that the hotel’s electrician was friendlier than ANY of the staff here at Hyatt.
I tried to be in denial of the bad reviews about service and management when booking because I truly liked the location and name of Hyatt, but this experience was a spit in Hyatt’s name.
To start, there is rarely ever any staff at the front desk. Numerous times I tried to call from room or physically go to desk, there was absolutely no one. Then when there is staff, asking them for something is like pulling teeth. They look at you like you’re an inconvenience to them.
The rooms look pretty from afar, but there is so much needed repair throughout.
The gym never had any cups, and obviously it would be impossible to tell staff that doesn’t exist.
One night, my husband and I came to front desk to ask about getting two wine glasses. The unfriendly front desk lady said “go to bartender, it’s not like I have the wine glasses ON ME” …😂 We then go to bartender, and he was adamant about me taking plastic to-go cups instead of actual wine glasses. I explained that I will not be drinking from to-go cups since we were informed that we can have wine glasses. The bartender scoffed and gave us stemless wine glasses instead of the ones with stem right beside each other. I didn’t argue, there’s no point.
The rooms are not sound proof. We could hear anyone talk/walk/sneeze/, including housekeeping that would be talking very loudly.
I’ve stayed at many hotels, and even at “lower” status ones, I didn’t have such bad experience.
Only rating of 5 would be for the view and for the building’s location.
Attached is a photo of how the front desk looks most of the...
