I have been a loyal Walgreens customer for several years and have always loved my Walgreens back home, but today’s experience at the Tumwater location was absolutely horrible.
For the past few days, I’ve been shopping the 70% off holiday deal at this location. I had purchased several Hallmark ornaments at that discount, so today, I returned to grab another one. However, when I went to check out, the ornament was ringing up at full price.
I mentioned that I had purchased similar items at 70% off over the past few days, but the employee immediately called over the manager. Enter Janice, the store manager, who I’ve unfortunately had a negative encounter with before. Let me just say, she is hands down the nastiest, most unprofessional “leader” I have ever dealt with.
Instead of providing an explanation or helping me understand why the discount was no longer being honored, Janice immediately became rude and defensive, telling me they weren’t honoring the 70% off anymore, threw the ornament into a basket behind the counter, and became hostile. When I asked for more details, she became increasingly disrespectful, especially when I mentioned calling corporate about her nasty attitude.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with Janice. A while ago, she accused me of “taking advantage of them” when I used a free photo coupon.
I’ve never been so disgusted with the level of customer service at any company that I felt compelled to contact corporate. It’s beyond me how Walgreens can employ someone like Janice, who treats customers so poorly. It’s clear from the other reviews that this location is seriously lacking in professionalism, kindness, and basic customer service skills.
I will not be returning to this Walgreens, and I can’t recommend this location to anyone. There’s much-needed work to be done, and it starts with hiring staff who know how to treat others with respect.

Read moreThey waisted my entire day! I came in first thing at 9am cause the hospital sent me here to get my antibiotics and patches for pain relief. I hand them my insurance which apparently they do not take and said nothing to me just see you in 3 hours. I waited nothing not a text or call. I try to call and I'm on hold for 2 hours I get kicked off so I try to call again and wait another hour get kicked off. So I figure I'll go in after I'm off work if it don't get any updates at this point it's been 9h since I put in my perception I wait in line for 30 min to be told they didn't fill it they don't take my insurance and they were to busy to inform me that they don't take my insurance at all. So why didn't they tell me this when I first gave them my insurance card when I came to confirm my medicine was being processed this morning. The lady behind the desk took additude with me and assumed I wanted pain medicine because I'm in a lot of pain when all I wanted was my antibiotics so my infection doesn't spread to my dam kidneys! I didn't appreciate the customer service at all and felt disrespected by their actions. They also made me wait in line again by this time it's almost closing for them when I came to make sure they got my transfer from another pharmacy they seemed pissed off that I wasn't leaving until I made sure they were actually transferring the order to...

I had refilled my pills 3 days ago and it had said it would be ready that day by 11am. I go there at 2. First stay in line for 30 minutes to only hear I need to go back again to pick it up in 2,3 hours, because they had not refilled it yet! Why the heck did you say a time when you are not ready 3 hours after that? when I did go back in 3 hours, I ended waiting 30 minutes in the car and guess what? I was told again I have to come back!!!!!! To which I said won’t ! So then she sent me inside to wait another 30 minutes to get my pills filled.
