I’ve had two negative experiences with this place and finally decided to write a review. The first experience, I went in asking to get a new full set. The nail tech started working on me and it seemed like she was prepping my nails for a fill. I pointed this out and said I want these nails removed, and to do a new set. She didn’t understand I imagine, because she nodded vigorously and continued what she was doing. Not there service I asked for. I was furious that I paid for this service I was very unhappy with and didn’t ask for, and they didn’t do anything to make up for it. I understand that they may not have understood my request, but that doesn’t Make it acceptable to lack accountability when you’re providing a service.

I decided to return one more time. I made an appointment the night before, and arrived a few minutes ahead the next day. I waited for 30 minutes to be seated. No one said anything acknowledging the wait time with an appointment. Mind you it was not overly busy or a particularly high volume time. The gel fill I did was fine, the woman was standoffish. My pedicure was great as was the tech. But then I reminded them I needed to do my eyebrows as well, and the woman who did my nails took me to the waxing room. She didn’t want me to lay down as is customary. She had me sit with my head tipped back against the wall. She rushed through it, and made me feel like I was burdening her by getting the service done. I am outraged with the customer service at Aldona Nail and will never be returning again. I had an appointment for 12pm and wasn’t attended to until 2:30pm. They had no consideration of my time whatsoever. When I arrived all 4 nail techs were busy. I quickly realized they were understaffed while there were other earlier appointments ahead of me that had not been attended yet. They assured me it will be a short wait and accommodated me to a massage chair in the back after an hour of waiting. In the meantime, they accepted another client ahead of me that had a 1:30pm appointment due to an “emergency”. I assured them if that individual had an emergency the nail salon would be the last place someone would go and instead an emergency room. I communicated my frustration and lack of consideration and time of a client at their establishment. The nail tech attempted to “make it up to me” by offering me a piece of chocolate which obviously I denied. Come to find out this 1:30 appointment was a “priority” because she was a regular client and bought the staff Christmas gifts. The establishment not only made myself and other Hispanic clients wait but it was as if our time nor money was not as important as the Caucasian client that walked in after all of us. After finally being attended to after 2.5+ hours they did a poor job with my nails and mostly crooked and cut even my cuticles. They again attempted to make it up to me by giving me $20 off from their services. Aldona Nail should not be in business especially if you cannot cater to most of your Hispanic clients in the most densely populated...

I will never be returning to this nail salon again. I have never written a review yet alone a bad one until today. I paid a total of 92 dollars (tip included) for a refill and pedicure! Not even the two hour wait annoyed me as much as how inconsiderate they are regarding a poor nail design. I went back today to have it removed. If you're wondering why I did not have her remove the design before I left last NIGHT.. well its because I am a nice person who just worked an 8 hour shift, had my ride outside waiting for an hour, and I needed to go! I called today to have it removed because the design was so poorly done my 8 year old niece could have done a better job. Not only did they not refund the extra charge for the design they also had the nerve to tell me they actually charge extra for the removal! When I asked for 5th time how the prices work I finally got a somewhat clear answer. This nail salon will charge you for anything even the SHAPE of your nail. For a nail salon that overcharges for the basics I didn't think refunding the extra charge for a nail design would be such an issue. Please save yourselves money and support another local nail salon that wont charge you as much and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction! I just paid for a design I no longer have on!
