Jacquelynn (Jacci)'s hair designing skills are unparalled - I can't recommend her highly enough! I'll begin by stating I'm as picky about my hair as. it. gets. Even I get frustrated with my demanding streak when it comes to my mane, and fellow perfectionists know that, in regard to stylists, it's hard to trust :) Having been slightly disappointed with recent encounters, I consulted a trusted source for a top name and was given Jacci's. Tentatively, I called her at Kenneth's. I explained that I had waited until last minute, and would need an appt ASAP. Jacci instructed her associate to book me that very afternoon; she would create an opening for me. Fantastic! Parking was a breeze at Kingsdale, and Jacci came out after only a couple minutes. First of all, Jacci's personality is wonderful - she put me at ease immediately, is laid back, super smart, and fun to talk to. But the best part? She is the best listener - Ever. After telling her what I wanted, she reiterated my ideas back to me, explaining how she had interpreted my vision, making sure we were on the same page. Then, before doing any cutting, she articulated exactly what the style would look like, double-checked how much to cut off, then asked me some clarifying questions. I really appreciated the questions! She has the creativity and experience that I do not (i.e., I wanted a long hairstyle, but I did not think to ask for "movement" at the ends, which have to be created by adding strategic long layers at the ends. (I would not have thought to ask for this on my own but it was important.) In times when you don't have a particular "vision" in mind, she offers opinions/suggestions/custom styles for your face when you can't decide, and can also copy styles from pics you bring in! My results with her are consistent...I have finally found an impeccable, 5-star stylist after so many other disappointing salon visits! For that reason, I wanted to give this review, and tell Jacci thanks again, if she sees this. For anyone considering a new hairstyle/color and has been disappointed in the past...please just call Jacci!!! I guarantee you will be so happy you found her -- she's the stylist we all deserve! p.s. They give you a $5 coupon for your next visit as you leave...also I did happen to notice this salon had quite a few male clients in and out, which was cool to see! :) ...

I have attached pictures. If you would pay $200 for this change in your hair this is the place for you. Personally I think it is outrageous.

The color job was well done but I specifically told my hairdresser that I did not want to break the bank on color and that I had moved from LA where it would cost $200 without discussing first (literal exact words I used) and I did not want that. Needless to say, given that conversation, I was was shocked when I recieved the bill.

My issue was my current roots which subtly did not match my blonde hair (see before picture). I asked for them to be the same tone. We decided to blend them with high and lowlights. This solution cost $197.

I was charged $67 for the roots (which hardly look different) on top of $90 for highlights plus another $40 for a conditioner (which I foolishly assumed was around $15 like every other place I have been).

On top of that, the largest issue was the warm tone of my roots as that will not blend with my natural and I stated that I did not want to continue touching up roots. They are still warm and as far as I can tell $67 was tacked on for a service which did nothing and would have acheived the same result to simply do the lowlight/highlight.

To be clear I really liked the color but given that I literally said I did not want to pay $200 up front to my hairdresser, I am pretty upset and feeling very nickel and dimed. I would never have agreed to pay this for such a subtle change and anyone who has seen me afterwards has said that it is outrageous and doesnt look...

I have been coming to Kenneth's for close to 20 years now. LeAnn Allman is first and foremost my friend and stylist. Always professional and yet a "kindred spirit". I have seen her have up to 3-4 clients that she meticulously maneuvers as if in a dance, never breaking a sweat. Everyone one leaves looking just lovely and quite happy as well. LeAnn's personality and wit are contagious and if you were having a not so good day, I can promise you that that will turnaround after spending some time with her. It is not just small talk but a deep and genuine caring for each and every client as I have witnessed this time after time that I have been with her. She can read people like a book as well as, I believe having written the book with her knowledge on hair styling. If you are not sure what you want, she will make suggestions to help you out with endless possibilities. LeAnn has even worked me in between clients or come in a bit earlier or stayed a bit later to assist me if the salon schedule did not permit. I go to Kenneth's for the most part once a week now to have her style my hair. It truly is the highlight of the week. She is an absolute and unshakable example of what the definition of "Stylist" is. And, I have the best of both worlds as I am blessed to have her as my friend and in my life. Heidi...
