Deck Central — Local services in Urbandale

If I could give ten stars I would. I worked with Deck Central for my first ever deck build and I was pretty anxious about working with a company like this because I was worried there would be pressure to spend more than we could afford amongst other things. But, the experience of working with the owners of Deck Central could not have been more enjoyable or smooth. They were incredible in every way. They didn't pressure us to buy anything, they reviewed my deck plans and made suggestions and drew a detailed diagram of what materials I would need and why. They took the time to answer every question I emailed them in great detail. And after making some changes to the plans and buying way less material than we had originally discussed, there was zero pressure to try and upsell or change our minds. It was a very refreshing experience and I cannot recommend this company enough, especially if you are someone who isn't an expert and might be a little intimidated to work with a professional business like Deck Central, they will make you feel comfortable and answer any questions you have. Deck Central has earned my business for all things deck related. I stopped by Deck Central because they were one of few local businesses which carried the Deckorators composite decking I was looking for (great value and color selections for the price compared to the other big brands). Leah worked with me on price of the material which was very competitive and even helped plan the quantities needed even though I was not using their contractors for the install. I was using two colors, one sourced from Deck Central and another Lowe's exclusive color. We ended up needing some additional special plugs and screws (which Lowe's does not carry for their exclusive color) and Leah went out of her way and found me plugs that matched very closely from another brand which she found in her back stock and gave them to me for free.
