It was a horrible and prejudice experience at that particular store. We came in to store, there were employees at the store, but nobody offered help. Ourselves found what we needed and suddenly a lady (cashier/manager/security) approached to ask if I wanted to trade or exchange anything, which was strange. I said "No", then she said "Oh you brought a DXL bag, I thought you had something there to trade or exchange" like suggesting we were going to steal anything from the store. We effectively had a bag from DXL because we had bought clothes at another of your store just on previous Friday at Sacramento Store, we had a pair of cupons there and our sweaters. I told her "Do you want to check the bag?" She just said "No" and left through a door at the back of the store. No help offered, yet making feel customer like thieves. At the end that same lady (the one with tattoos in her arms) was at the registers, we kindly ask if she could take thecoupon, she said it would not work because all of our clothes were from clearance (without even seeing what we had gotten), then she sent a guy with a pony tale to check the fitting room were my big guy friend tried out the clothes he bought, like again checking we did not stole or left there anything. Her excuse was that one of the pants did not have the tag price, when both pants were the same brand, size but different color. She finally said "I will scan the coupon, your pants are full price, although this coupon comes from a different store from this one, it stills might not work," after me telling her that at the other store they said rgat cupon did not have restrictions or exclusions.
We are not coming back ever to that store. What a difference with Edwin the sales rep from Sacramento's store, helpful and respectful.
My friend just likes your stores because of the good quality and big sizes you have, and he comes all the way from Mexico once a year to purchase his clothes, and that lady treats customers like thieves. INEXCUSABLE...
Read moreWalked into the store. It wasn’t busy the clerk was helping a gentleman, and she seemed to be the only one in the store. I found a sports coat I wanted to try on, but it was on the top rack. I couldn’t reach it without pulling it off the hanger and leaving the hanger on the rack. So I went to clerk, waited till she acknowledged me, and asked if I could use one of the many extension hooks that were next to the cash register station. She said that she would have to get the coat for me as soon as she was done with the customer she was helping. I turned to my mother, who was sitting down, as she asked me what was wrong, and I told her that the clerk had to get the coat down, that I wasn’t allowed to get it myself. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to use one of those hook extensions, and I’ve used one many times before. She came over, got the coat I asked for and went back to helping the customer she was helping when we came in. The coat I tried on was a little too big. So rather than bother her again, I just pulled another coat down until I found the right one. I wound up pulling two coats down until I found the right size. I apologized to the clerk about pulling two coats down, and I told her that the policy about not letting the customer use the extension hook was ridiculous. We bought the sports coat I...
Read moreI live in Napa and needed a suit, but no stores close by had the size I needed. My girlfriend found this store with a simple google search and we took the hour+ long trip out here (terrrrrible traffic), getting to the store about 45 minutes before they closed.
As soon as we got to the dress coats section, the woman working (Kayla? Hope I spelled that correctly) inquired if we were finding everything okay. She asked if I knew what size dress shirts I needed, and when I told her I wasn't sure, she was happy to take my measurements and also gave some great advice on how a slightly longer arm length may work better for me because of my broader shoulders.
Kayla was also quick to answer any questions I had about how the jacket was meant to fit, what the material of a certain shirt was, etc. After feeling a little dejected about having to go to a Big + Tall store several miles away because I no longer fit into "conventional" sizes, I was made to feel comfortable and welcome in an unfamiliar place. Not once did I feel rushed even though we got there so close to closing. I could not be happier that I made the drive to...
