Our visit to Turner's Furniture in search of a new bed was highly disappointing. While the store is technically ADA-accessible, with a ramp and an elevator, accessibility beyond that is severely lacking. The store layout is cluttered, making navigation extremely difficult. We frequently had to move items or reroute our path due to narrow spaces that would be impassable for wheelchair users. The tight layout also raises concerns for individuals of size, who may find it challenging to maneuver through the store. More concerning, however, was the safety issue. Given the number of obstacles, I would not consider this location a safe environment for disabled customers. In the event of an emergency, such as a fire, it would be nearly impossible for a wheelchair user—or even myself—to exit quickly and safely due to the store’s congested layout. Customer service was another disappointment. Upon arrival, we were directed to the mattress section and told that an employee would meet us there. After navigating the store’s challenging layout, we arrived, only to find no assistance waiting for us. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after us were promptly helped. Despite browsing the selection thoroughly, we remained unattended until we were about to leave—at which point an employee finally approached us to help. At this point we were ready to leave. As we exited, the same accessibility issues persisted. The employee who "helped" us had to move furniture just for us to get through, reinforcing the ongoing problem. While I hope she took note of these challenges and relayed them to management, I am not optimistic that any changes will be made. No disabled person, especially a disabled veteran, should have to endure such an experience. Ultimately, we took our business elsewhere and visited Laws Furniture downtown. The experience there was the complete opposite—better service, a well-organized layout, and competitive pricing. We found the exact bed we wanted at an excellent price. Read moreChloe Stinelli helped us find the perfect furniture. Id been wanting a certain kind and it was hard to describe so she was amazing in helping us find exactly what we were after. I had been hunting for the furniture I wanted for months and every time I found one I wanted online someone else had already got it or the seller wouldn't respond. But we show up to turners, and miss chloe greets us immediately and shows us different areas. She doesn't hover so that we dont feel awkward while trying each couch or chair but stays nearby if we have any questions. She took us to the second area where we found what we wanted and she made it happen for us. It only took an hour. I only wish we had come sooner to get these things. I am so happy with our furniture, it's quality, everything. I am so grateful to miss chloe for all her help she did so much and was able to fully understand everything we wanted and got us exactly it. I love her energy and vibe too, some salespeople are overbearing but she was perfect all around. I firmly believe she needs a raise. Their first bedroom sets from Turners are still in their rooms even thought they have all left the nest. Because each piece is timeless and made with such good quality, you would never know how long we have had them. (And still get compliments) Customer services has always been top notch! Sometimes things happen with shipping and delivery. Turners has always been quick to respond to address and correct the issue. Now our daughter is beginning to purchase furniture for her new home because she knows the quality of their products and their friendly service. We were back today because time has taken a toll with our mattress.
