Target — Local services in Valparaiso

I was shopping with my daughter and granddaughter a few days ago and we had to use the bathroom. I went in first and each stall was absolutely disgusting. Either ppl don’t know how to flush or use a toilet, im not entirely sure. But the first 3 stalls were so gross and had urine all over that they couldn’t be used and the one that was usable did not have a working lock, and the other was handicap. Now when you have a toddler that is in the Potty train stage, that is difficult, we had to go into another store to use the bathroom. Now I absolutely love target, it’s my favorite place to shop because of the quiet and clean & organized atmosphere compared to other stores. Idk if it was just a bad Friday or because Easter was near, but I am soooo disappointed in Valpo target. Stuff all over the floors and not the shelves, things just thrown around and overall just messy.couldn’t even begin to talk about the lines to checkout, you would’ve thought it was Christms. Sorry, target. I have been a fan ever since it opened in Valpo but this was awful. I’m going to chalk this up to just an overall bad day & maybe short staffed that day and give it a second chance but Honestly, thought I was in the lake county store. Drove special from LaPorte to get advertised deal in their flyer. Couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Asked, or should I say, tried to ask for help. It was like cockroaches after you turned on the lights...every employee seemed to scatter out to the back room as I tried to catch their attention. After finally finding an employee who couldn't escape to the back, he walked away from me in the middle of my question. Finally got a very helpful woman from another area of the store. When she discovered the items I was looking for were out of stock, she said we could get a raincheck at the check out. Went to check out with a few other items and was told by the cashier the raincheck would have to be gotten at customer service. Went to customer service, was told to get it at the self check outs through one of the two women covering those. This then took quite some time before they could figure it out, only to be told by the computer that I couldn't have rain checks on these items because it was in the or 3 day Sale. No where in the ad does it say no raincheck or limited to stock on hand. Pisses me off to say the least and I will not be in another Target store anytime soon. ...

I have always been a regular Target shopper and each time I'm in the Valpo store the cashiers are always very nice. I was in a few weeks back and purchasing quite a bit for a bedroom remodel. My husband noticed that a worker was following us oddly close. We asked if there was a problem and he got very upset and continued to follow even after we asked if we had done something wrong and asked if he was indeed an employee. I understand they have loss protection staff and they have a job to do however this man followed us to the point that we left our full cart and watched him walked to the front and stand at self checkout by another co-worker on their phones laughing and clearly not working. I ended up placing my order online and have not been back since that. I regret not bringing it to a managers attention but I will not go back alone with my children when they have workers clearly making customers feel that uncomfortable. And if they are going to have people following they need to remain far enough away that they are ad hearing to the 6 feet rule due to Covid and PERSONAL space.
