Hop-N-Shop Food Store — Local services in Vancouver

Last weekend, my son-in-law purchased some snacks from this store with his debit card and the store clerk said "Sir would you like your receipt?" My son-in-law who typically says no says..."Oh, sure!" My son-in-law looks at the receipt and says to the clerk "My purchase was for $7.15...you charged me $57.15! You need to reverse this transaction right now!" The clerk apologized for the error and took his debit card and "supposedly" corrected the error. 4 business days later he walked in to the store and complained to the clerk about not getting his $50 credit. He STILL has not received his credit! While he was complaining to the clerk, another patron walked up and said to his wife (my daughter), "They did the same thing to me too!" For your own good....do not purchase anything from this store with your debit card. You will be ripped off!...

Terrible customer treatment! I have been going here for years and the employees/owners know me. I have never had a problem using my credit card. And today after all these years the same guy I always do business with said he needed to see my driver's license. He said it was needed to protect himself. What about all the visit over the last 10 years? He didn't need to be protected all if those times. Anyway, I said I felt like that was strange and ridiculous. He said that was fine, he didn't need my business anyway. Wow! Talk about ungrateful! This store has lost a good paying customer for life due to rudeness and poor...

Friendly service! I went in here looking for Redman chewing tobacco and was able to talk with the owners who work at the counter! They’re very nice people and were willing to help with my request for other kinds of chewing tobacco. The prices are about average but the gas is kind of cheap and I like that!
