I ordered online, and though I had to wait longer for my food, I was so impressed how they were handling the rush. They remained calm and inviting while hustling to get orders out. And even while rushing to get orders out, the quality of the food was not compromised. As I waited for my food I just kept observing and was super impressed by what I saw. Though I tipped online, I put more money in their tip jar when my order was ready because they deserved it.
Let's talk about the food itself. I love gyros. I myself make a bomb gyro and have been disappointed elsewhere. I was so hesitant to try this place because I was scared to try the shaved meat that looks like cat food. I thought that's all they had. But then someone told me they had actual chicken too. So I had to try it! OMG it was amazing! And they did not skimp on anything---the gyro was so full that I didn't know how to eat it. I got my daughter a chicken gyro junior bowl and tried the meat I've always been afraid to try. It was actually delicious! And unprompted, my toddler said, "this dinner is so yummy!" And those fries? I couldn't stop eating them! We got regular fries and Greek fries. Those Greek fries reminded me of the garlic truffle fries from Cinnetopia back before they closed. WARNING WARNING WARNING! Do not plan to kiss anyone for at least 3 days after having their white sauce. My daughter won't let me kiss her now. But it's totally worth it.
I wish I would have taken a picture of all the food, but it was an afterthought. I also added my own feta because we had it at home and didn't want to pay an extra charge. However, after seeing the feta on their fries, I wish I would have paid for their feta. Their feta is so dainty. My feta...
Read moreMost excellent food! Hubs enjoyed his gyros and I enjoyed very much the chicken kabobs charbroiled and done to perfection! The most excellent rice and salad with mine was made more tasty with white garlic sauce. I was not good at relaying my need for gluten free, but ordered things that I felt shouldn't have any wheat ingredients. My reactions were not long lasting but I did have my usual side of pills and managed to savor my meal in spite of having pita bread added when I did ask to not have any bread. Nothing willful, just I was unable to make my needs understood and I needed to let my mate have some fun eating out. My "diet" often gets in the way of dining out. Sad, but true. Craving Mediterranean? Food satisfies. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Too small. Tastefully decorated, but tables feel sterile. Uneven seating feels awkward. Geared toward fast in and out, no European slow dining here. High chairs at a long bar looking out on an ugly parking lot. Small tables situated below the kitchen preparation area. We were chilled in there as the doors were across from our table. We got our meals to go, sat in parking lot, warm van. Snuggled into our car seats, we ate our luscious food. No regrets. Loved every bite, even had a little leftover for our suppers. Craving that chicken and rice right now. Yum....
Read moreAlthough this was my first time, at the recommendation of the owner I got the The Usual, along with the fancy fries. This was a very special meal for me as I was taking my brand new teeth out for their inaugural run. Soft food for 6 months and I was filled with longing and trepidation. Honestly I’m not a big fan of paper plates and plastic forks, but I am a big fan of new foods and authentic cuisine. Hole in the wall surprises are worth the risks so there I was, new choppers and new experiences awaiting. Great stuff right outa gate! Loved the creamy tangy messy chewy fall apart in your mouth sandwhichy thing and the fries were perfect. In fact, I could probably live off the fries indefinitely, although I’ve heard some bs about man not living off fries alone, but those probably didn’t have feta cheese on them. I loved the friendly Greek chatter going on in the background, made me feel like a tourist, but not in a bad way. I think if they reinvented themselves in a fancier setting with real plates and and curtains they would be a… “Destination” and they could just print money, but in the meantime, they can just be one of those popular and amazing...
