My late father was a lifelong maple bar enthusiast. When my brothers and I were young, he'd often begin weekend project days with a box of maple bars from the local doughnut shop. In his final years, we would frequently bring boxes of Mr. Maple doughnuts to his care home to enjoy with him. I could say he was particularly fond of the Double Maple, but in truth he would absolutely demolish any of the variety of maple bars on offer with equal glee and gusto. Even as his illness robbed him of his cognitive faculties, the man still recognized and appreciated a good maple bar. We finally lost him a few months ago, but my family celebrates him every time we visit Mr. Maple. Mr. Maple is the place to go for legitimate, old-school doughnuts, especially if you're into maple bars. They are perfectly done, with thoughtful variations on the theme such as the aforementioned Double Maple. The apple fritters are also a cut above... huge, with perfectly crisped edges and fluffy interior. The folks that work behind the counter are kind, helpful, and friendly. They genuinely appear to be enjoying themselves as they chat with customers and fill box after box after box.

We went here because of the reviews. The girl who helped me grabbed the wrong donut twice. When I asked for the maple roll, which looked like a filled bar with maple frosting. She said this is a specialty donut so it will be $3.35. I said that is fine I want to try it. She walked over where I couldn't see and put a donut in the box. I ordered my other donuts, she taped the box, and we payed. I got back to my hotel and opened the box to find a cinnamon pershing covered in maple frosting. Gross! And not what I ordered. As a suggestion have the employee show the contents before closing the box. The double chocolate donut was delicious according to my hubby. The blueberry fritter was flat and crunchy. Maple frosting is delicious

My husband stopped by on Friday morning and got 4 dozen doughnuts for a meeting and didn’t take pictures for me or get any comments for the group he purchased them for so I made him take me by on your way out and about on Saturday Morning. They had quite a selection - including doughnut holes ($.25 a piece). Jelly filled doughnut holes are yummy - except a little more jelly would be great. My sister went back the next day and got me more doughnut holes and also a cheesecake filled doughnut which was also quite scrumptious. This place just opened in April but I am definitely spreading the word that this wonderful tasty yummy local doughnut place is definitely something to be checked out.

I was pretty excited because I had not seen Mr. Maple donuts before. I didn't even know when they opened; however, I am a HUGE maple donuts fan! I went in with very high expectations. The place is well lite and very clean with a lot of seating. The staff greeted us with a 'Good Morning' as soon as we entered the door. They seemed a bit confused as to who would be helping us because each person was working on a different chore, but in the end we did get served. Here is the three star part: the donuts were dry. :-( My husband got a fruit fritter and it was fairly flat and had little moisture. I ordered a cinnamon roll because even from behind the counter, I could see the donuts appeared either over cooked or just on the dry side. I thought with the cinnamon roll I would have the frosting to counter-balance the dry. It was a no-go. We both ended up tossing our half eaten donuts and headed to Winco. Sorry Mr. Maple Donuts, we gave it a try; just way too dry...

Horrible customer service this evening. The lady in the back near donuts was friendly and smiling upon arrival. The blonde lady up in the front just had poor customer service she looked like she didn’t even want to be there when we walked in. I feel that people who come and get donuts should be able to pick the donuts they want especially is they are visible to the public. She said we couldn’t get those donuts because they are tomorrow donuts. The lady by those donuts wanted to give us some of the donuts we had asked for and the lady up in the front was rude and said store policy we can’t. I feel like maybe the company should hide those donuts if they don’t want us ordering them. Very rude. No argument was involved we left without causing issues. I felt her tone and body language was rude and never heard of any policy of some sort at any other donut locations. We always pick out what visible without a prob and didn’t order anything....
