This was my first visit ever to the store and I have to say I’m really impressed!
Now let me be clear I walked in the store not to shop but to drop off an Amazon return item. There was a customer service worker inside the store who kindly directed me to the back. As I walk to the back I thought to myself man this is really smart to put the Amazon returns in the back because I knew keep customers there to shop.
The Amazon return area was clearly marked out. The gentleman who was working the counter was very clean and friendly. When I say clean I mean he cleaned the counter before I walked up. I appreciate that during this time.
I decided to walk around the store and check things out for you and for myself for later. I found they have a wide variety of clothes.
There’s clothes for people of all ages and stages of life. What really caught my eye was the toy section.
Growing up I loved to play with Lego. They had a massive Lego section for the store. I also noticed that they had juniors clothes, so this is a place I could shop for my kids.
Overall the staff was really friendly and the store was...
Read moreDisappointing. I had a Kohl's gift certificate. Was looking for bed sheets. Shelves were nearly empty of cotton sheets. Another customer nearby said that their selection was terrible. I moved on to the lingerie section. Some panties were on hangers, but vast majority were piled on big round tables, not separated by size, brand, or anything else that I could see. Was looking for medium size, but most of the selection was extra large. After much searching I found one style I liked in my size. They were on sale, so I wanted to buy two for the discount, but there was only one of that kind. Another customer and I had difficulty finding the registers. This is a big store and needs better signage. There was only one cashier, the other registers were self serve. Before I moved to this area I shopped at Kohl's frequently. The Ventura store does not have the selection that I expect from the store. The only reason I will return is to spend the rest of the gift certificate. Very frustrated by my...
Read moreJust had to most horrific experience with customer service. Obviously today dec 13th all the stores are pretty much packed with everybody trying to purchase last minutes gifts. So there were like 30 people waiting to pay. I just needed to pay for 1 shirt so I decided to ask the cashier in the jewelry section if it would be ok to pay for the one shirt there. Her body language was pretty strong and her final words were: "You only pay FINE jewelry here". I mean, common "fine jewelry", for God's sake what did she mean? Was the "fine" world necessary? We all know Kohl's sell just regular jewelry, which may be 80% of their inventory , and 20% of some more expensive but not really fancy. I have been their customer for 10 years, with the "most valued customer card". Managers, is this necessary that employees talk down to customers? What about training them in communication? Remember, is not what you say, is how you say what you say. Huge difference. If you want to be talked down, please go...
