Poke Land — Restaurant in Ventura

I wish this had the ability to have two ratings, one for the food and one for the service. The food rating is the four stars. The food was good and tasted really fresh. The portion size was also nice. I got the small size and i I was completely satisfied.

The service on the other was a complete mess. We went to this place on September 18, 2021 at 7:30 pm (hint hint Mr/Mrs Manager). There was this young girl, dark hair, 5'02", about 105 lbs, and she had the worst attitude and service I have ever seen in a long time. She lacked patience, courtesy, politeness and everything else one would need in a customer related business. She rolled her eyes at my wife when my wife told her she wasn't done ordering, she gasped when I changed my order from large to small just as she was about to prepare my food. (And she literally had to physically do NOTHING when I changed my order size).

My wife and I said nothing to her or each other while in the establishment but when we got into the car, we both looked at each other and said the exact same thing about the rudest employee we both had just experience.

This is a shame because the food was actually really good but because there are so many other options and places to go eat, I don't need to ever go back here again...

I went to Pokeland for the first time today. The menu was pretty clear, and the workers were kind and patient and were able to clear up any confusion I had with ordering. From first glance, I could tell how fresh everything was. The avocado looked sooo... FRESH! It was a lovely green color, it wasn't messy at all, and it looked like it was just sliced out from an avocado seconds ago. I love me some avocado! Since it was my first time, I got the house sauce with the sesame oil in my order. (They have more sauce options. I just didn't know them, so I went with the house sauce) They also have raw fish options, so the price was very fair. Overall, the food was great! The rice was drier than I was expecting, but the sauce balanced that out. It was a bit sweet and everything tasted well mixed together. I got the 3 scoops, and it was super filling. In their cooler, they also have this drink called Ramuné. It's a carbonated drink where you push down the clear marble with the lid to sorta activate the carbonation. I've never been so disappointed. The large bowl is such a scam, yes I want more meat, that's probably what I'm paying for, but lord was the rice lacking. Not only did it not fill the entire tray, but it's like eat toppings with your side of rice. My lord, the sauce also completely drowned the bowl, and probably the worst eel sauce I've ever had. I've never had poke that I didn't want to devour then and there. It's still sitting in my lap and I just feel disappointment, like my rating is going down the more I write. Oh yeah, forget how small the rice is, the amount of toppings are smaller. You'd think you'd get more rice, and toppings for 5 (mini) scoops of protein. Also, workers looks like they hated their lives, so, I hope working conditions are okay. This is getting too long, I might go to the store and buy more...
