A friend of mine mentioned this place to me and decided to check it out. He had mentioned it was themed around freedom and liberty. Being a former marine I was excited to meet people that I thought where like minded. I read there website, seeing a few concerning things but figured gotta go check it out.
The good. They did a great job at the look and feel. Honestly hands down a fantastic space if it wasn't for some other things
The bad. So first glance I was impressed. Had both a store feeling and the historical feeling you get back east with some of the speak easy and historic places.
Then started a few more things. They have a back area, it's a pay to access area. Figured see what it was all about cause inheard they sell local food products. Nothing can compare to local food, honey is my favorite. Walk back and we did find a bunch of local food, most if it it had written labeled container that where unlegable, meats labeled not for sale, baked good that hobestly looked moldy. We even seen milk and what i hope and believe was yogurt.
After seeing this we left. I did some digging, and from what I found there business is not registered at the state. Digging more into there website I found they are claiming to be a church, using that as a way to try to get around all the rules. This broke my heart. I fought for this country, the freedoms and liberties we have today. To see a business, yes business, "no matter how you try to play the system" doing everything the can to skirt the system so they do not have to follow the rules they don't like, is saddening.
Our founding fathers fought for the freedom to rule themselves. Our nation was built on that. Rules and regulations are there because of our founding fathers, and the men and women who have fought to uphold that since then. I hope they rethink there strategy, and do it correctly. If they do, I will be there first customer and loyal...
Read moreThis place is awesome. All local crafts and food with that old school small town market feel owned and operated by a Veteran.. What more could you ask for. Fresh food, that is replaced every few days if not sold. If you're looking for fresh meat, eggs, homemade bread, treats, desserts and some unique items that are handmade you have come to the right place. Extremely friendly and welcoming owners and workers.
I Find it hard to believe, the only bad review, also left a very good review at a similar local business, that has some of the exact same vendors. And has a fake Facebook profile. Yes this does have a (members only) area with a ton of good deals on locally grown food, $5 a month gets you into this awesome area.
And if you want the 501c organization that was also left in the negative review.. That's next Door, Freedom Hall. Learn about the constitution and its meaning, attend a financial class, and learn about the beliefs this country was found on. If you want the most Patriotic Place in the basin this...
Read moreThis is one of the nearest stores I’ve ever been to! It’s very different from any other store that you will come across! There’s two parts. The front part is for anyone who wants to access it just like a cool olden days store. They’ve got old-fashioned candy, raw local honey in several different flavors, garden seeds and a bunch of other really cool things. Then they have a members only section. It’s really cheap only five dollars a month. They’ve got milk bread local produce. There’s even a guy who sells life plants as well as tons of local meat! It’s such a cool place. You’ve got to go...
