CDW delivers incorrect items. And they sell returned products as 'New'. Here is my proof: My company ordered for me Airpods Pro 2 with USB-C and CDW sent me Airpods Pro 2 with Lightning instead!. What is even more annoying is that the Airpods Pro 2 with Lightning were already discontinued at the time when my order was created. I called CDW customer service to see if i could exchange them for the newer version. The agent acted like it was probably a some sort of mistake on my part or it was my company's fault.....and so i decided to keep them after all because it wasn't worth the big hassle to go through the return process through my company and wait another month to get my Airpods. Well a couple months later the Airpods turned out to be defective so I took them to the Apple store to see if they could help me and run some diagnostic checks and they told me that my Airpods were out of warranty. When i asked them how could that be since i only had them for 2 months, the Apple rep told me that when a product is shipped out to a customer then its 1-year warranty activates and that happened over a year ago for my Airpods, which means that CDW probably received them as a return and did not reset...
Read more2.5 stars really, but i'm rounding down to 2. My office insisted on ordering through them. They ended up buying a new laptop + parts for me to do customization rather than buying a preconfigured system from another vendor they don't have a conract with. The 30 or 40 day warranty or whatever is pointless as it needs to be shipped from cdw to my institution, then inventoried, and finally mailed to me. That took two weeks roughly, about half of the vendor warranty. After some twenty days of use, the dumb thing stopped working out of distributor warranty. Lenovo replaced the motherboard, but I still had to go and reconfigure all of the software for the custom parts.
Like I said, next time I will strictly force my institution to buy what I want, not what's convenient for them for contract reasons. My time is very valuable; CDW's inability to customize hardware and to offer/support systems with *nix bears part of the blame for wasting some of it. 2.5 stars really, but i'm...
Read moreI ordered 4 GPU's and the order was confirmed. My credit card was charged and I was given an e-mail confirmation. 24 hours later CDW sent me an e-mail stating that the credit card (which was already charged) would not be accepted and I would be required to use a bank transfer to send the money to their corporate office. Then when I called them to ask why I needed to use a bank transfer, they claimed the products I ordered weren't in stock and they would be canceling the order.
You charge my credit card You e-mail and state you wont accept my credit card You request a MONEY TRANSFER for payment Then you let me know the product is not in stock and is unavailable.
The entire buying experience just seemed shady and felt like a Nigerian scam. Supposedly they canceled the order 2 days ago, but the charge is STILL on my credit card. Now I have to call the credit card company to dispute the...
