I am updating this review with the latest experience on the same case. I gave my old review 2 months back and I have been told to contact them in an email to get it resolved. Since then, I did follow the instructions given by every agent in multiple calls. Though my sofa and TV sets are in the same state/condition as they were 6 months back. Below is the details: A person came to repair my sofa and TV set (On 08/14). After looking at the sofa and TV set. He said, he have been given only 45 min and 45 min is not enough for him to fix everything. So he did put the new door to the TV set and left my home. I told him that he did not fix the door properly. But he said, that is what the best he can do and he suggested me to contact Ashley to send a new door again. Another person came today (08/29). This person ripped off the cover of my sofa's auto recliner seat. He went out to talk to someone and knocked my door again after 10 min. He did not even enter into my home. He said that he saw a bug under the sofa and with those bugs inside he can not fix the sofa. I asked him to show the bug to me, but he refused to come inside my home and show the bug. He ripped off the seat cover and spread all the sofa material in my living area. Created lot of mess and he left my place by not arranging them properly. Here with this review, I attached the photos of the mess that he created in my living area and the damage he did to my sofa's auto recliner seat (I realized that they disabled the pics for bad reviews, so you may not be able to see them). I cleaned all this mess by myself and the surprising thing is that we did not notice any bugs any where under the sofa. After this bitter experience, I went to Ashley store in Vernon Hills where I bought the sofa, The lady sitting in the customer support area was not even willing to talk to us. She wrote a phone number on a paper and threw that paper on my face. After talking to her for 10 min, she engaged a store manger with me. The store manager listen to me patiently. Finally he also gave me 2 number to contact. That is it. I came back to my home and cleaned the mess that was done in my living area. With this experience, I will not at all suggest Ashley for anyone's furniture needs. Not sure how and when my loss will be covered. I am writing this to express my dissatisfaction with Asley. I purchased all my furniture at Ashley and now feeling bad about it. I chose Ashley because, the quality and service that will be given to their customers will be too good. But now, I experienced the other side of it. The latest experience with Ashley is not at all encouraging me to do so. I bought a sectional sofa and a TV unit last year. Within 6 months, we saw some damages to both of these products because of the less quality. We were been told that, if there are such issues within warranty period, the products will get replaced or repaired. We tried booking a complaint by visiting the vernon hills store where I bought the furniture. They gave me a number to book the complaint. I did the same. All this happened in the month of March. On the same day, I sent the pics of the damaged parts of these products to grtphotos@ashleyhc.com. After a week or so, I have got the new door to be replaced for my tv unit. But we don’t know how to fix it. To inform this, we called the customer care again. This time I got a response saying that, they got all the required information from me and schedule for an appointment soon so that a person will visit my home and the damages will be repaired. After that, we did not call customer care, because we do not want to give bad time to Ashley support staff in the pandemic situation. So, waited for almost 3 months and called Ashley customer care again today (06/04). Surprisingly, we got a response saying that the service request is closed and she will reopen the service request again. Once I hear that I completely lost. This is a very bed experience for me.    Read moreI don’t care to write reviews because I feel that everyone has their days but this one I had to write about. This is a long review. I gave the store a one star only because of Carlos. And because I haven’t gotten my items yet. Hearing the reviews I’m thinking I might cancel before my furniture arrives. Not sure if I want to take the chances of being wrongly mistreated. Be careful going to the Ashley store in Vernon Hills. I was wrongly mistreated. I was trying to take catch their Bogo deal before it ended. The day the deal was suppose to be over I had errands. I checked their hours, online..said they were open til midnight, umm ok we know that’s not trues. So I made sure I got there before 9pm. Arrived at the store at 8:30pm, stores hours posted were closing at 9pm. But the doors were locked. Locked 1/2hr before closing. The employee in the store, was closing a sale. The customer he was with showed him that we were at the door. He saw myself at the door, as I held up the flyer for bogo asking to come in to make a purchase. He looked up, shook his head in dismay and continued on helping his customer. Did he open the door … nope. Did he at least say I’m sorry come back tomorrow I closed early… nope. Did he give some kind of respect that people should get if closing a store early … NOPE! Just plane disrespect. I stayed til he finished his sale.. was hoping he would acknowledge or something. NOPE!! he kept his head down as if I didn’t exist. Such disrespect especially since I wanted to purchase a few items. You might think… what nationality are you. That doesn’t matter. Treat customers with respect!! I came back the next day… complained and found out the employee who treated me with such disrespect was the store manager. THE STORE MANAGER who goes by the name Taj. I was second guessing giving Ashley my money. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company who disrespects you and acts as if you don’t exist. But a pleasant manager of the company named Carlos helped me out. He was very helpful. Heard and listened to my concerns. He wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchase if I decided to purchase from them. Because I told them I am second guessing giving Ashley my money. I did end up purchasing a few pieces. Taj does not deserve to be the store manager. My money is just as good as the money that he was closing. Just as good or even better. Without him knowing he treated me with disrespect. Even if you were treated with respect by Taj, knowing that he has the capability to treat others with such disrespect he should not get commission off of you, or have anyone else service. Thank Carlos for all your help. Carlos is the guy to ask for. He was very helpful in so many ways. Taj, you are a sad excuse of a store manager. I don’t know how you got to that level with showing such lack of experience, disrespect and rudeness. Sorry Ashley Furniture but you need to pick better Store Managers. Would I recommend the store to any one… I will have to see how my furniture is once delivered and only if I know for sure Carlos is still working. I would definitely purchase from Carlos.    Read moreWhere do I even begin?? My fiancé and I bought a new house and needed furniture. We moved from a small apartment, so we needed most things for the house. We went in to the store during their Labor Day sales. We ordered a bedroom set, dining room table/chairs, and kitchen table/chairs. We were told they would be in the warehouse early October and would be delivered shortly after. Great! Since we were moving late October. Around October 10th, I called to get an update, and the customer service man said I will receive most of my furniture on October 23rd and the last two pieces on the 26th. A little late, but fine. Now it’s October 22nd and I haven’t heard from anyone at all. I call for an update and they tell me it won’t be delivered until the 31st and the last two pieces won’t be in stock until late November. WHY WAS I NEVER INFORMED OF THIS. I never once had someone from the store contact me about a delivery delay. I called every single day for an update. Meanwhile, we were living out of suitcases and eating on the counter. I was eventually able to get the majority of my furniture on October 27th. They delivered my dining room table/chairs and bedroom set (minus the nightstands). They delivery service starts putting together the bed, and he tells me they did not have hardware in the box! There was no way they could put the bed back together. I spoke with someone on the phone who said they would deliver a replacement piece within a week. 100% guaranteed. Very frustrated but fine since she guaranteed it. I call the next day, and they tell me it will be delivered in a week and a half. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GUARANTEE?! Whomever I spoke with on the phone on the 27th very clearly LIED to me. I continue to call every day for an update. They tell me my kitchen table/chairs and replacement bed piece will be delivered November 6th and the nightstands are now expected... MID DECEMBER! Seriously!! I finally call November 4th and they tell me that ALL of my remaining furniture will be delivered the 6th. No idea how that’s even possible since the nightstands were supposed to be back order until December now. Finally, on November 6th, all of my remaining furniture was delivered. I am thankful I never have to deal with Ashley furniture ever again. Not only did they tell me multiple different dates and give me numerous excuses, but they NEVER called me to update me on my order. Not once!! I spent thousands of dollars on furniture and was treated horribly. I understand there is a delay due to COVID, but UPDATE YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! Also, don’t provide customers with FALSE delivery date estimates! I spent hours and hours on the phone with them. Mind you, it takes 20-30 minutes just to reach a representative.
