I have a Kohl’s Credit card , so I do shop , but I’m not a BIG shopper. I visited the Vernon Hills Store Saturday May 25th and it’s was Memorial Day Weekend. I had two (2) items in mind. A stainless steel sauce pan that Kohls does or used to carry. A a battery charger for a swifter. Or possibly a new simpler sweeper because my area of concern is tile floor and not in need of pulling out the normal vacuum cleaner. My third was NOT on my mind or list so to speak. BUT But but, this should be a store manager or marketing persons dream shopper. Well. You can’t purchase a single item in the cooking sets. There are individual cooking items , but nothing like what I wanted to replace. The “ Bank “ of sweepers was impressive. All very expensive most well over two hundred dollars. Not what I was looking for / not even close. Third ( three strikes and you’re out ) I need a new coffee maker / like Kureg like I have. There were again a bank of several. Then I saw a smaller single cup coffee maker on the opposite side of the counter. . Marketed as “ it will fit in anywhere “. I thought - this looks good , it will work. Now what will it cost. There was a display. There were several others in boxes ( I guess you guys think you’re going to sell a bunch.) It’s seems. The larger coffee individual makers were all labeled with clear prices. One other coffee maker on the same side of the smaller individual coffee maker I was interested in , had a price tag. There were no price tags on the maker I wanted on display. It was fastened to some kind of board. I picked up one boxes on the floor containing the same coffee maker. ........ looked at all four sides and top and bottom. / no price. Looked for staff. No staff. I’m - as you know - not near the front of the store. ...... I...
Read moreThis review is for the Amazon Returns services offered at this location. Long story short, I arrived with two identical boxed returns with two corresponding QR code return slips, and specifically stated that these were two separate items. After providing these items for return to the service desk, I only recieved one receipt ticket. I asked the worker if the ticket was for one item or two? The service worker ensured me that the ticket was for both items. Fast forward 4 hours, only one of my two returns gets electronically accepted, while the other one is still in the "return started". I call the store the following day, and I am told.to wait 2-3 days for the status to change. I call again after those 2-3 days and they tell me to call Amazon's Customer Sevice, since they dont have an packages left floating around in the area. I call Amazon Customer Service today to only find out that I have to wait 2 weeks for my apparent "missing" return package to be recieved by Amazon.
Bottom line, the Amazon Returns worker at Kohls failed to scan both QR codes for the returned items. When this happens your return cannot be tracked properly...it's almost like you didnt even drop it off. What is supposed to be a painless return now becomes a 2 week waiting session. What a joke! Now I'm left here needing to follow up in 2 weeks to I can ensure I get reimbursed for my $160 return.
My advice: Proceed with caution when doing returns at these satelite Amazon return centers in Kohls. You can't assume that they know what they're...
Read moreSuch poor customer service and experience for a Kohl’s with little to no traffic as opposed to other stores. Came in on a night an hour before close, needed to do a return at Kohl’s and Amazon return with them as well. I walk in and not greeted but rather turn to my left to see the cashier and coworkers chatting, acting like no care in the world. Okay, whatever. I go to the back of the store to process my Amazon return and then met with a note on the desk that says Amazon returns are closed. Which I am and would be understanding, however instead of having to walk all the way to the end of the store, how much easier it would’ve been if the employees who were so lost in conversation together, in the FRONT OF THE STORE BY THE ENTRANCES, would let customers know Amazon returns are closed or even a sign!? I went back to those employees to process my Kohl’s return, she’s a little sassy, no greeting, “do you have your receipt?”, etc. People continue to walk in with Amazon boxes and packages, and I commented to her why no one would inform the guests if you could obviously see where they are going and that it is closed if there is someone in the front and can see these guests? She had no real answer to give.
As someone who has worked retail, this is a crap store, location and offer...
