Dunham's Sports — Local services in Vernon Township

So I drove 25 miles to look and see if they had or if they even sold bike racks for cars. 45 minutes later, I still don’t know if they do or not. I walked the entire store and didn’t see any but there is so Much stuff that if they do sell them, more than likely o may have missed them. I picked up a couple things on clearance of course, who can afford regular prices there. The extremely undertrained and nervous young guy cashing me out I felt sorry for. I did ask him, his response was do you see any? I explained no but perhaps I missed them. The young guy said, them no we probably don’t.! Ok poor kid as the manager was yelling at him because he didn’t page someone for the call waiting on hold. The kid was busy and said that he thought it was for the manager anyway. So of course mumbling under his breath the manager picked it up. Meanwhile 10 minutes into my transaction the kid is wadding my stuff up and jamming it into a small bag. While the kid was finishing I asked the manager if they carried bike racks, we do but probably out of them.! They would be above the bikes over there pointing. Out of common courtesy mr manager please don’t go the 25 feet and look for the customer, just walk away. This was the second time I’ve been in this store and probably no most definitely will NOT be back. It starts with upper management with training people and obviously that didn’t happen either. Joe smo could probably walk off the street and do much much better. Either Love the job you do or get out and let someone who wants to work do it the right way. Lesson...

So I called about 45. Cal self Defense ammo and the lady on the phone immediately responded with “No, we don’t” )very quickly like no time to check or anything). Then I politely asked if she knew when any ammo would be restocked in this caliber. She again responded with “No, we don’t” with a tone that was kind of rude. So I was a little suspicious and decided to just stop by and sure enough they had a box of self defense 45. Cal ammo sitting on the shelf. I did not buy it because I had already gone to another store and was not going to support the way they acted on the phone. I have been there before on Black Friday and things were not advertised correctly for sales and when bringing that up to them they would respond well someone put it on the wrong shelf and would not offer anything for the mess up or the false advertising even though the items were...

Went in 11-18-23 and seen a shotgun with a tag hanging on it for $139.99 I inquired about it and Gage who was working the gun counter confirmed it was the right price. So I did the background check and went to the front to pay only to find out it was actually over $200. I walked back to the gun counter to see if the manager working could do anything for me and she said while trying to hand me a different gun "this is the gun you were buying". They tried to pull a bait and switch on me. No accountability for their mistake wasting my time or for telling me one price and trying to charge another. I wouldn't recommend going here for your firearms needs. Horrible way to do business.
