I have been a member of the Vero Beach Art Club for 8 years and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. First, I thought of myself as a hoppiest artist. Because of the Club's many activities that promote its members work, I now consider myself a professional who exhibits--and sells-- her work regularly. Second, I have made so many wonderful friends through the Club as a result of the many social and professional activities it sponsors on a daily basis. They inspire and encourage me! Third, its educational programs have enabled me to progress as an artist. I learn something new all the time. It's a nondiscriminating, progressive, nonprofit organization. Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, or political point of view, everyone is welcome and treated respectfully and greeted enthusiastically. Finally, I like that it is dedicated not only to its members but to the community. The Club sponsors so many events and learning opportunities for the citizens of our county, from children and teenagers to veterans, to schools, and to seniors. What a great organization! The Vero Beach Art Club has given my life purpose and a tremendous opportunity to participate in many art events and shows. Having retired 2018 and moved to Vero Beach with thoughts of filling my days with golf and fishing. Well who would’ve thunk that I’d be more interested in putting white titanium and assorted colors on canvas. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people and some amazing artists and instructors, all of whom are encouraging me to try new things, share their tips and expertises. It's wonderful to hear that the Vero Beach Art Club general meeting on Thursday, September 7 was so informative and enjoyable. It's great that the club is growing and gaining momentum, supporting the community and local artists. Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad the food was delicious too!
