Wild Thyme Catering — Local services in Vero Beach

Cheryl and Travis went above and beyond from day one. When we arrived for our tasting they had a nice table set for us with flowers, offered us wine, beer, or water. Then, after some chit chat, they started to bring out the food. Each plate was not only delicious, but beautifully prepared as well. We went to a few other tastings prior to going to Wild Thyme and theirs was the only one that made us feel like we were having that true wedding tasting experience. For us this was big! We love good food so one of the most important aspects of our wedding was that we wanted great food - and Wild Thyme more than delivered!

For appetizers we ended up choosing their lobster biscuit, ahi tuna bites, candied bacon bruschetta, and tropical shrimp. In addition to that they made up a charcuterie board which was amazing and had an enormous amount of food!

One of our friends (who were competitive barbecuers) offered to barbecue for us as our wedding gift. Wild thyme was so flexible and was readily willing to work with them. So, since the meat was covered, we needed sides. We chose mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, strawberry balsamic salad, cornbread, and asparagus.

We also didn’t have a cake at our wedding, but instead had a dessert bar, which of course was created by Wild Thyme. We had banana pudding (probably the best dessert I’ve ever eaten), blueberry cobbler, brownies, a cookie assortment, and mini cheese cakes.

Lastly, we decided to have them cater our alcohol as well, including a signature welcome drink (which was excellent) and two bartenders. The bartenders did a great job!

Every item they brought out in our tasting and then again at our wedding was exceptional. We have heard nothing but rave reviews about how good the food was at the wedding! In fact a few of our friends, who are getting married in the next year, are looking into hiring them for their wedding as well! I cannot say enough about the food and words just wouldn’t do it justice!

However, as amazing as the food was, Cheryl was equally as wonderful. From day one communication was a breeze. She always got back to us exceptionally fast and was always so pleasant. As the wedding grew closer, my questions increased and she answered each of them patiently and honestly. On the day of the wedding, she made sure to bring us a plate of appetizers since we were taking photos during cocktail hour. And throughout the day, every time she saw me, she continually checked in to make sure we were doing OK. I can’t say enough how much we appreciated her kindness and professionalism throughout the whole process!

My only regret is that we should’ve asked them to put a plate for us in the fridge so we could’ve enjoyed the food again the next day!!

I am so happy The Lake House recommended them. They immediately responded to my email when I reached out to them online 1 year prior to our wedding and gave me a full break down of the costs for what I wanted. I booked a tasting for my husband and I and they even accommodated both of our Mothers who were just coming to listen. We were greeted to a table that had the exact set up we wanted for the wedding, a charcuterie board sample, wine / beer, as well as every item we wanted for the day of, and even packed up our leftovers for us. The food was delicious!

Maria sat me down an gave me a full timeline of our wedding day since I had not even thought of that yet, and sent it in an email for me for even if we did not use them. Once we left my husband and I both agreed we would look no further. Maria and Travis were amazing. On the day of our wedding the staff was so friendly and accommodating. It was such a stress free process and they made the day run so smoothly. Our guest could not stop ranting about how amazing the food was and they were even able to go back for seconds. We never ran out of anything, and even with 150 guest (16 tables) they had everyone served quickly. Once Blake and I sat down for our reception they immediately served us our food and poured us a glass of champagne. The bartenders we had were the BEST!! I wish I could remember her name, but once she found out I liked cosmos she kept bringing them out to me on the dance floor….thank you for making my night!!

Let me tell you about Wild Thyme Catering. From our initial contact, to the completion of their service on our wedding day, the entire experience was handled with such professionalism. We so appreciated how they treated us like we were the most important client, pretty much like family. We also appreciated their hospitality during our tasting, and their willingness to answer the many questions we had throughout the process. When you see the food they produce, it looks like a work of art, and it tastes as good as it looks. All night my guests kept letting us know how beautiful the charcuterie station was and how delicious dinner was. You can tell that the owners are very passionate and love what they do. The pandemic has been hard on us all, but Wild Thyme took their customer service to an entirely new level, and we are forever grateful! In a time when most companies were worried about themselves, this company wanted to know how they could better serve my wife and I. They are selfless, hardworking, dedicated chefs that will literally do whatever it takes to ensure your special day turns out to be whatever your heart desires.
