I noticed your shady response to my review and how conveniently you made yourself appear to be the "good guy."
Well, here is the REAL truth: I took my desktop to be repaired last month and was quoted $99 by Shawn and told that it was fixable. The following day, David called to ask if I wanted my data backed up while they repaired my computer. I agreed and was quoted $79 on top of the $99 fee.
Days had passed and I never heard from anyone. Therefore, I called the store and was told that they are still working on my computer and should be finished soon. Another day went by and I still never received an update.
Yet again, I called and left a message for David. I was finally contacted and told that my computer was "too old " and the "mother board " was damaged. So, my computer wad not fixable after all. At this point, disappointment set in and I requested my data to be transferred off my computer's hard drive onto my flash drive.
I gave them my 64 GB flash drive and was told I would have my data within a day. Again, more days elapsed and I never heard from anyone. So, I called and spoke to another guy several times who could not give me a definitive answer. Finally, I was contacted and told all my data was on my flash drive.
I checked my flash drive and to my surprise it was blank. No data! By this time, I am furious. I confront Shawn about the missing data and he was very dismissive with me. I proceeded to cry and express how important that data meant to me. By this time, Shawn seemed somewhat empathetic and proclaimed to have magically found my data on the hard drive. Shocking!
Nevertheless, I was told that it would be another day for them to transfer my data. Well, that day turned into 3 days! I had to speak with David in person to get an answer as to why my repair ticket was taking long and nobody returned my calls. David was very nonchalant and refused to take accountability for their error in regards to my data transfer. However, he had no problem swiping my credit card!
Furthermore, I was contacted by another employee who told me all my data is transferred and complete. I picked up my drive and verified that some of my data was transferred onto the flash drive. The fact that I had to get a run around for 2 whole weeks and still didn't get a resolve was a waste of my time and...
Read moreI don't even know where to begin. I have used this business before with great results. I can honestly say that their quality has plummeted into a dark pit. My laptop was running slow, so I took it in. They called me in a few days and said it was fixed. I paid almost $200. Since that first visit, the following has happened: They lost my charger cord and first insisted that I had it. They had to look at the video to see that the cord was left with my laptop. I was told they couldn't find it and had ordered another one. I was then told it would be in by Saturday. Then I was told it would be in by Monday. Then I was told it would be in by Tuesday. I finally ordered one myself, and it came in the next day. The one they ordered finally arrived. When I turned my laptop on, the audio would not work. I had to send it back. They said that possibly, because they changed the Microsoft Windows, that it made it no longer work. They said they would fix it. Then they said they couldn't fix it. I've been using my son's laptop and just got back on my laptop for the first time. The audio is gone. Plus, my plug that allows me to use my mouse is now gone. I called them and asked about it and was told, "We don't have it." I had enough at that point! I asked if it was just me or if all their customers were treated this badly? I reminded them that I have been patient and forgiving, but now I am at my wits end. I have been a loyal, paying customer, and I deserve an answer. I was told, "That's an inappropriate response." So I asked exactly how I should respond. I basically paid them to wreck my computer and lose my accessories!! I asked him to tell me how I should feel? He had no response because he knew I had every right to feel the way I did and still do. I then told him that my 5 star review had just turned into a one-star review. Yes this place reeks racial profiling guys if you’re concerned about any black man walking into a raggly computer junkyard then there’s better ways to decipher that. Don’t worry rest assured I will not walk in this graveyard for vintage computers ever again.i had walked in with the intent of spending money but since you felt like I had none I put my money away.
