Factory nachos 3/5 stars
The flavor was decent. The red chili sauce is almost nonexistent, the chicken was not spicy at all! The plate was flooded with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Proportionally those "accents" should've been about half of what they were. I would expect the fluffing of a plate with cheaper ingredients from somewhere like Taco Bell. I certainly don't feel like it's fair to pay $16 for chicken nachos and get more sour cream, guacamole, and salsa than anything else on the plate.
Fried Mac and Cheese 5/5 stars
The deep-fried, macaroni and cheese balls were of course the best thing we got there. Honestly, it's the only reason why we still go back to the cheesecake factory. If the cheesecake factory ever quit selling these, I don't think we'd ever go back again.
Louisiana Chicken Pasta 2/5 stars
I'll say the Louisiana chicken pasta wasn't bad. The chicken was restaurant quality but the pasta and the sauce were of that of jarred or even microwaved.... it wasn't worth finishing, and I almost couldn't remember what I ordered when I got home :/
Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp 2/5 stars
If you're looking for bang, bang chicken and shrimp, this is not it. If you're looking for Thai peanut chicken and shrimp, this is it. The description of the sauce is 'Curry, Peanut, Chile and Coconut' but the only thing you can taste is the peanut sauce. Nothing about this was truly 'Bang Bang' and my husband was left so disappointed that it actually completely turned him off of the idea of Asian food for days.
Tiramisu cheesecake 5/5
The tiramisu cheesecake on its own was probably five stars even two days later, when my husband ate it!
Linda's fudge cake 5/5
The same could be said about Linda's fudge cake as the tiramisu cheesecake.
Honestly, cheesecake factories, desserts are one of the only reasons why they still exist. I understand that it's called the cheesecake factory so they are supposed to be the star of the show. However, the rest of your dishes aren't supposed to be unbearable or a waste of money, which we felt like they were when we left.
Server 5/5 stars Our server was attentive and friendly. Given how incredibly busy it was he did a phenomenal job, not showing how exhausted he clearly had to be!
Bathroom 1/5 stars
The ladies restroom was disgusting. There was urine on all of the seats, toilet paper all over the floors the paper towel dispenser was incredibly full and there was water all over the floor and counters. I understand you're busy, but in a restaurant like this, you might just wanna have one person whose whole job is to maintain the appearance of the restaurant, including bathrooms, walkways, entryway, and such... if I spent over $150 at a restaurant between two people, I shouldn't have to wipe the toilet seat before...
Read moreWe came here because we were given a giftcard to this restaurant by a family member. We haven't been here in a few years because we had a bad experience and swore off of them. Came back willing to give it a 2nd chance (and use the giftcard)
We ordered two apps, 4 entrees because it was 4 of us, and two specialty drinks (their smoothies). The service was fine, the bread was brought out shortly after placing our orders. Then our smoothies arrived, which those were good. Then we waited....and waited....and waited. No sign of the appetizers, but we were assured that they were on their way. Probably a good 30 -40 minutes passed before the appetizers arrived.
We were not happy because we bet that when the apps came out, our entrees were going to be right behind them. And we were right. Now we have all this food, that wasn't properly spaced apart, and the kicker is that the food was lukewarm, almost damn near cold. Ridiculous. How long was our food waiting for us? They also forgot my son's fries. When they eventually brought out his fries, the runner asked if we thought the fries were cold or something to that effect and offered to bring us hot, fresh fries for my son. Why would you think we want cold fries lol? Also, it's annoying to order appetizers and the entrees come out 5 minutes later after the appetizers plates are set down. Hold on while I play plate shuffle and figure out how we can eat all of this food.
The food wasn't good, it had grown cold, and I was honestly upset that we should have chosen to eat somewhere else instead of repeating a similar situation of why we stopped going to this Cheesecake factory location. We were also looking forward to the Cheesecake, but after that fiasco, my husband and I decided that they had received enough of our money and came up short of expectations.
When I am charged for food, I expect it to be hot (or cold depending on the item. None of our entrees or apps should have been cold)
I expect my food to come out within a decent time frame. Expecting your guests to fill up on bread while you take a few decades to fulfill orders is unrealistic.
Manager was called over and she took off the charges our appetizers. She was deeply apologetic, and so was the waitress. I realize these things happen, but for it to have happened to us twice, counting our last visit, is unacceptable and in my eyes shows they haven't really improved their service. I'll have a hard time convincing my husband to dine at the Cheesecake factory, and to be honest, I don't really want to go...
Read moreI've been coming to the cheesecake factory for my birthday since 2014 I started in the California Otay Ranch location and continued through my current location in Virginia beach since 2015. I am sick and tired of trying to make a reservation and being told by the hostess over the phone that the manager said that they don't do reservations. Whenever I call the automated system tells me I can but then the person tells me they don't do it. Today was the last straw. I called and asked to make a reservation for my birthday (literally the only thing I do for my birthday) about 1.5hrs before I decided to go to the location because I have family in town and would've loved for them to celebrate with me so we had a party of 10 people. When I called, the hostess talked to the manager and the manager said that they don't do reservations for big parties anymore. So then I asked the current wait time if I was to get there right now and was told that they wouldn't be able to tell me I'd have to come in. So I got my family ready (baby included) and we went to the restaurant we told the hostess the name and party size and after about 10 minutes after she spoke to the manager she said it would be a 1.5-hour wait time to be seated. There were multiple open tables outside on the patio and we asked if we chose to sit outside if it would change the wait time since it was completely empty and the answer was no. At this point I was annoyed with the situation so we removed our name from the waitlist and left. I'm not upset about waiting as I've done it before but the point is that if I'm showing up with 10 people a reservation would eliminate the scramble I saw for 10 minutes trying to seat my party. Could you explain why exactly I'm not allowed to make a reservation when everything on the website and the phone says I can? The food is always good and no complaint on service for any of my previous visits but today I didn't get to experience neither of those things.
Update 2025: I didn't go back and don't intend to ever again at this location. Not worth...
