Daiso - Japanese Household Goods — Local services in Visalia

Its a Japanese THEMED Dollar Tree with a gimmick. The conversion chart is way off. They arent actually charging a true yen price. Just google yen to us dollar and type in how much an item costs. The prices at this store are super high. It is supposed to be a low price store but their prices are 3x higher than what dollar tree charges for the same product. The same silicone cake mold sold at Dollar Tree costs 2.25 and the one at Daiso is 4.75. Yes I know they are charging a markup for importation and overhead but they use the price on the package and a conversion chart to make you feel like you are getting a good deal. You see the yen price and your mind subconciously makes you feel like its cheap until you get to checkout and spend 30 dollars on 5 items. Can they get in trouble for this....No. Is it a slimeball tactic because the majority of people in this area have a low IQ and they are taking advantage of them...Yes. Look at all the areas in the USA that Daiso stores are open. They are in mostly all Low education cities and areas. Smart business tactic but slime ball move to charge people 3x what Dollar Tree charges. In short everyone should go to Dollar Tree or even Dollar General. Daiso is a rip off for the quality...

Daiso - Japanese Household Goods, September 17, 2025 Me & my daughter & my granddaughter & her boyfriend we all came here it was me & my daughter's first time but my granddaughter & her boyfriend has been here before. It's so "Awesome" with so much different Japanese Household Goods & so much more different things because my daughter had bought a new carrier bag see through & for air to go through it plus a little plastic tray to go inside so the bag would be strong enough because my granddaughter has a guinea pig & she is a pretty good size one! We had found some other stuff also & we really loved the whole store in general. I wasn’t going to make a review but I just feel like I have to worn others about this store. Let me start off by saying the young lady Ashlie was very hopeful. But what is wrong with the manger especially the one in glasses kinda older lady. She was so rude and definitely disrespectful when I asked about the prices going up so high. I felt like I was being watch the hold time I was there I couldn’t do much browsing. Also please stop forcing me to buy more things when I already said no it’s really annoying. I’ve been to many daiso’s in my life but this one is by far the worst one I have ever been to. Do better also someone check on the manager she seems like she was high and out of her mind the way she was...
