Worse experience ever.
5/4 - I place an online order for pickup at 11:30 am, shows that it would be ready within an hour. I drive 30 mins to their store 5 hours later (about 30 mins before they close), and nothing is ready, and that the items is not in the store. I find one of the items on the shelf (grease) and another similar to what I had ordered (hammer and punch set). I ask if they could cancel the order since I already found these items. They say no, and to contact customer support (which by that time was closed). I decide to just buy the two items, and cancel the other items in the morning. Get home and the hammer and punch set is not going to work for my application and decide to return the next day.
5/5 - I get an email that my online order is ready at 10 am (why were they unable to fulfill it the previous day if they are sending me an email the moment they open. I say to myself great. I can just return return the hammer and punch set from yesterday and from the new order I am picking up return the grease and keep the punch set I previously ordered. Get to the store and get the gun grease and punch set. I then try returning the set from yesterday and tell me that no, I cannot due to covid constraints and the fact that it was opened, (that was not the case as the plastic was ripped when purchased). I say fine, let me return the gun grease since I bought one with the set yesterday and used it. They said no due to covid, even though they just handed me the gun grease a few mins prior.
I will never order from this store again either through online or through this specific store due to this experience which is a shame since I spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at this...
Read moreI purchased my first bow ($600) last week to go bow fishing. It was a floor model and I had them install a couple of things before I left. When I got home and was packing to leave, I noticed a small ding on the lower cam. It look like it was maybe dropped at some point during its life as a floor model and it tweaked the cam enough to cause extra tension and friction to the string.
Seeing the issue, I did not fire the bow at all. All arrows and uninstalled accessories (including reel) are still in packaging. I figured I could just exchange it when I got back.
When I attempted to exchange the damaged floor model bow, sportsman’s turned me away. They gave me a warranty form for the company and sent me on my way. Even knowing it was a floor model, has been worked on by sportsman’s staff, and had not been used since, they refused to help.
So I didn’t get to use the product for the trip it was purchased for and now they refuse to exchange it, instead sentencing me to months of waiting. I’ve spent tens of thousands at Sportsman’s since they opened here... but never again.
Edit: I did contact customer support as requested and they wasted several more days of my time. Sent receipts and photos back and forth only for them to tell me they can’t help because it’s been a couple weeks since purchase (20 days). Well yeah, they turned me away when i tried to return it and had me jumping through hoops for 2 weeks!! I’m tossing the bow in the trash and returning all the items purchased with it (still in packaging). Stay away from the company - even corporate won’t take care of...
Read moreI've posted about this specific store before and never received any time of apology or response from anyone. I had gone before and was discriminated, I'm assuming for my ethnicity. I told myself I wouldn't go again, couple of months later I went back(I know dumb me) because the ammo was on special. Went up to the counter in the back, asked for specific type and was told "all we have is on the rack" yet online it showed there was that specific ammo available in store lol disregarded it. Went back and made line beside another gentleman who was getting helped, was skipped from the man behind the counter and went to the man behind me, by the way he was "Caucasian" lol I stayed for about 3 mins waiting to see if I would get help, never did. There was only 4 people including my nephew and I. 3 behind the counter, which 2 were busy and 1 wasn't, yet I wasn't helped. I had a flyer and left it on the counter and walked out. Just comes to show how much racism still exist even in big corporations like this. Thanks for showing your true colors!😂

Messaged, called and emailed the person who replied to this review. They called me from the store, claiming they were going to help me to email them what I was going to buy lol never received any type of follow up, called back "corporate" and I was ignored.
