Don't trust this store in anyway. I couldn't afford to but something right there and then and one of the ladies told me i can do layway so I was happy and thought oh this will help me in buying a birthday gift. I made two payments and only had 20 dollars left to pay and when I went to make my last payment they told me they can't help me. They said they have a new system so it will take weeks not days weeks. I told them this was my last payment so I came to pick it up for a birthday gift and I don't have time to order anything and the manager told me "I can't help you". I told them give me my money back and she said no I have to pay full price if i want the items. I told them you knew about this system update for at least a month before they update it someone just don't come to your store and say hey by the way we are putting a system, so why didn't you call me to let me know i won't be able to pick up my items if i don't go before the update? She said "well we can't call everyone". I cried because I didn't have the money to buy anything or have time to shop around. She didn't care at all she didn't even apologized or try to see if there was anything she could do. I asked for a discount for a really bad service and inconvenience that was their fault and she just said no didn't see if she could do anything so i can at least get something to give as a gift. They took my money and kept my items hostage and there was nothing else I could do but spend money i don't have. Don't trust them when they say you can put anything in layaway because they won't even try to make things right when its their fault they will just keep your money and give you nothing. I won't be going back i will be buying online for now on. Amazon has everything they have so don't give them your money they don't care about...

I put 2 layaway's on, paid 1 off of $389, paid $426 of $476 on the other, but was 2 days late with my final payment, for which the manager knew I was going to be late after calling me before the layaway was up and said it would be fine, then immediately canceled my layaway and is refusing a refund. The layaway was my daughter's Christmas presents. Now my daughter doesn't get a Christmas because they kept the presents, and my money. How nice during this economic hardship. How can Hallmark allow crooks like this be a part of their company? I could see them doing this if I only paid $50 of this layaway, but obviously since I paid over $400, I was wanting them....duh..... I called the 800 number to get this resolved, and have been given the runaround. I usually spend over a thousand dollars a year at this place, but I will NEVER set foot in this place again. I hope Amy's reading this, because you just lost thousands of dollars yearly. You have nothing but rude crooks working for you. I work in the service industry, and I'm telling everyone I see and meet to avoid this store. Oh yeah, and thanks for ruining Christmas for my daughter and me, appreciate it....

Wife has been very sick this year in and out of hospital 27 times, she loves Christmas and got the ornament for her to remember this difficult year. Hallmark customer service was no help, they only help with on-line orders. So if you want a working ornament you better make sure it works before you leave the store because you won't get any help from Amy's...
