Bought a dryer and washer for our new house. Paid to have it installed. Noticed that the laundry room was getting humid and walls were literally dripping with water. Thought it had to be the set up at our house. After a month, looked behind (which wasn’t easy to do) and saw that they never connected it correctly to the dryer. Now there is most likely internal damage to the machines and the walls due to the water being put into the air (let alone whatever else). Called and were told that we needed to get a quote from a painter to submit to their insurance. Really think it would be right to at least give us money back for the install that was done wrong….even more, replace the dryer and washer. Moral of the story: install yourself

I can’t believe how they care for their houseplants. When I stopped a worker, he told me that they had people that come in and take care of it every once and a while but couldn’t provide a schedule or how often. He then told me they would come in and throw them away. I went to customer service to try and save some. They wanted to charge me full price to save plants they were going to throw away. When I asked for a discount I was told they couldn’t. He proceeded to call a manager and offered me 20% off. Absolutely ridiculous. I ended up picking up more plants and cared more than the worker did. It’s ridiculous to charge me when they’d just throw them away anyway.

This location is great. Never too busy, so easy to get in and out quickly. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Has the brands I love like Ridgid and Klein Tools. Lots of made in USA products. Exceptions like cheap made in China Husky stuff. HD could be a lot better about their veteran discount. They won't accept DD214 for the discount if they go by store policy. Lowes is better about the vet discount and offers it online, and it's attached to your MyLowes account, so no ID required They just lol it up. Menards doesn't even have a vet discount. Overall I love this store and drive extra to shop here.

Ware do I start !!? On 3-17-24 I left work and stopped at Home Depot, as I always do ! Went to restroom as I do everytime ! As always I check the prices of the stuff I’d like to buy to see if they are on sale ! And like always I walk back and check the clearance rack at the end of the hand tools , to see if anything I need is on the rack ! I have certain things I’m waiting to buy some being power tools from Milwaukee! And a Torque wrench ! And the main one is a tool box ! I’m trying to replace a whole toolbox I had from when I was an automotive technician! And about a year ago in the midst of a divorce my whole tool chest kinda disappeared! And I’m trying to replace what I had on a budget ! I am a Home Depot card holder and working on paying my balance off before I put some more tools on it about 117 away from being fully open to buy again. While checking and comparing prices for a Milwaukee right angle grinder with the Milwaukee site and Amazon’s site ! I always try and keep the money local so yess I shop around in hopes of getting a very good deal ! I talked to the Milwaukee rep that goes in there and had quite a good conversation with him in regards to brand of tools and making a decision on what to buy dewalt or Milwaukee , he said when I stop in again and he’s there he would give me some package coupons or somthing like that , and for the life of me I can’t remember if it was Home Depot in west Wyoming or Walker ! Out of nowhere a Home Depot employee walked up to me in a very stern manner and told me i was truss passing and I couldn’t come there! That they had me on camera stealing !!! And told me to leave ! And couldn’t even walk to the customer service desk to pay on my balance ! I was so damn embarrassed I didn’t know what to say ! I do t steal !! And I work hard to to have nice things ! I’m a shopper and I’m always on a hunt for a deal !but I am not a thief ! And I pay for everything I get ! ! And shipping for tools has been a costant mission for the last few months ! I am extremely bothered by this accusation and when I got home I called the Home Depot store ware I had just left ! Thinking hey maybe they got me mixed up with someone else ! I’m sure I’m not the only 150 lb bald guy in Grand Rapids ! When I called the lady wast very rude ! I was never approached by any staff member till today with the accusations of stealing !! I like the staff there and was always polite to them ! And would tell them I’m just a shopper I hunt for deals that I have a lot I’m working on replacing! None of this stealing stuff ever came up ! Nor was I ever approached prior to this ! And was really in awe cause she said they have me on camera stealing ! It’s impossible cause I don’t steal ! Not even as much as a plastic bag from checkout line ! If have to be the dumbest person in the world to steal when I have a Home Depot credit card with full open to buy of 6 grand !! Well minus the 117 dollar balance I was attempting to pay on ! This whole thing is very unprofessional to say the least ! I work retail and when we have shop lifters in store we call the police ! I walked outside and waited a couple minutes and no police ! I’m a very honest and trustworthy person ! I did a lot to accelerate in my life ! Accept marry the wrong women ! And I’m a lot of things in life but one that I am not is a thief !! The conversation on the phone with the Home Depot staff employee directed me to call a Mike tomorrow after 8 ! This is not gonna fix the embarrassment and the decimation of my character that was pronounced if from of other patrons! This whole ordeal is so embarrassing to say the least ! My apologies for writing this book ! But this is real frustrating and embarrassing! It’s a productive pass time for me ! Kinda like walking at the mall ! Really !! And I have recites for everything I buy and a purchase history at Home Depot for everything I’ve ever gotten from there ! I also pay on my bill at least once a week or every other week ! Kinda like going to the park for me ! Now I’m flat out...

It’s unfortunate that Home Depot doesn’t take accountability for the multiple contractors they use for flooring measurement, delivery and installation. We were quoted a one day project which turned into two and a half full days, and three nights without safe use of our main floor. This came in at around $3700. We paid that directly to Home Depot. However, when this project went way overdue, with major issues at every step, the flooring supervisor refused to listen and repeatedly blamed “contractors” despite Home Depot coordinating the services and taking the payment. It’s been 3 weeks and I have not been contacted as promised by the next level as requested. I wouldn’t recommend the use of Home Depot for flooring installation ever due to our terrible experiences, including:

  1. our measurement appointment was scheduled on a Saturday. We waited and waited, no call. Multiple calls into Home Depot showed it was scheduled on a day where “no one was working”
  2. after rescheduling, the measurement technician completed measurements and assured me this would be a one day project. It was then scheduled as one day.
  3. the delivery driver took out a phone line into our house with his truck, which meant waiting hours on hold with ATT and being parked into our garage as it hung down far into our driveway.
  4. the installers were kind but took 2.5 full days, requiring additional time off, inability to use our main floor including kitchen, left a garbage pile in our yard which then then came and got in the dark (missing some), installed our bedroom floor the WRONG DIRECTION, meaning our hallway which was to be our next project can’t be done correctly, and didn’t follow the measurement tech’s plan which included not doing a closet so they ran out of floor early (although that doesn’t account for 10% overage or even close)

Many, many phone calls and the most the flooring supervisor would offer is a “Sorry you feel that way” (non)apology, $50 off for 1.5 days over schedule and flooring the wrong way, and zero follow up afterwards as requested from her supervisor. The communication between Home Depot who should be quarterbacking these projects and their contractors is horrible, and when push comes to shove, they throw those contractors under the bus which is sad because each and every one was kinder than the people I spoke with at...

Firstly, the customer service rep who travels between multiple stores was incredibly helpful for getting us out of the store with what we needed at the end of the day. We came in for two doors+frames that were shown to be in stock. With the first guy we tried to get to help us, we showed him the picture on HD’s website with name, dimensions, etc. He couldn’t figure out how to use his device to locate it. We had already found the section where the similar, wider versions were and said so, so he walks over to it and says “oh yeah these are it, you need two? There’s two right here.” And proceeds to walk away. We were confused on how he missed the part about them not being the same dimensions as what was in stock online that were were showing him. This is when we got the customer service rep who looked it up and found it right away; it turned out to be on a wrapped pallet on a high shelf. She had to call to two other guys to come get it with a forklift where they came in, got it off the shelf, set it down, and they left immediately after. This was a fully-wrapped pallet that we weren’t about to rip into ourselves—why would that be for us to do this isn’t Ikea. We had to get the rep to call them back out onto the floor to unwrap it and they seemed frustrated by that point. After checking out with our two doors, they asked us if we needed help loading them, yes we did; they’re large and awkward. They sent a guy out who when got out there, just started lifting one corner of it on his own. At no point did he say anything or give guidance/direction on what he was going to do to get these in there effectively. The second door he just started carelessly pushing in and nearly scratches the whole thing in the process until one of us had to stop it as it smashes our hand. Honestly, we wish we didn’t ask for help seeing how much he struggled during all of this. Takes the cart away and we say thank you anyways, and still by the end of it he hasn’t said a SINGLE word to either of us. I’ve had terrible experiences at this location in the past year and wish I didn’t have to come back, but they occasionally are the only ones with certain products in stock...
