Usually I enjoy my visits to hobby lobby. However, this visit went bad real fast. I wanted to return several ribbon rolls. (I personally had not purchased these items, but there was a receipt given to me with with the product, so I assumed.) I informed the cashier that they were leftover from my mothers memorial and that she had passed away 3 weeks prior. The cashiers behavior was irritable. The receipt did not match up to all the rolls. I said store credit was fine. I also agreed that the lowest price they could have possibly been sold for was fine. I just didn't need them, or want them, and was just trying to clear things out since the funeral. They were extra. This cashier called over the head cashier to verify the products were still sold at hobby lobby. The attitude from this "leader" was immediate. The eye roll and sarcastic comment of "oh, yay" when she was informed that I didn't have a receipt was uncalled for. I explained the situation, but her impatience and obvious irritation remained apparent. I said forget it, as it was not worth the measly amount of maybe $20. I will donate the ribbon to goodwill, where perhaps someone can appreciate it. My frustration at this ironically unimportant situation disgusts me. My mom died in a plane crash. We used the ribbon...from hobby lobby... to make 250 memorial pins. This teal and gold ribbon was left over, unopened, and I was just hoping to possibly exchange for store credit to use towards posterboard to use for pictures for my moms funeral. Both of these employees were completely inappropriate, unkind, impatient and just plain rude. I truely do not think i will ever step foot in any hobby lobby again....especially since there is nothing sold here that anyone needs. And any of the products sold here can be purchased at numerous other stores...
Read moreHorrible service and highly embarrassed. We were walking out of the store, and our car keys set off the alarm. The woman made us empty our pockets, which was fine. I get that. She then had me open my purse, again, find. She then took my purse from me after I showed her the inside of it. She made a comment that it was a coach purse, and basically insinuated that I took it from the store because it still had a tag on it. It didn’t have a tag on it. I have had this purse for five years. It has never set off a sensor. It was a small purse. You could literally see everything. She had no reason to take my purse from me. I then walked through the sensor again after she took my purse from me and made me empty my pockets. No sensor went off. She then had my fiancé walk through the sensor, and he set it off. She then questioned him if he was wearing a new jacket and once again insinuated that it could’ve been shoplifted from a store and probably still had tags on it. Turns out, we put his keys through the sensor and they are what set it off. Instead of apologizing, she said “I guess I’ll let you go this time“ and then radioed to whomever to tell them that she was just gonna let it slide because she couldn’t find anything on us. We had very specifically showed her that it was our keys that set it off by waving just the keys through, and she still treats us as though we were criminals.
I will not be returning to the specific...
Read moreSuper disappointed in my local hobby lobby on alpine. I purchased a gift for my husband on 8/20/24. It was the wrong size so I had to return it. I went in with the receipt and the card I purchased it with along with the item. They said they could not return it due to the item number on the receipt and the item price tag not matching. All they could do was give me half the money back in instore credit. I told them I had not purchased anything else and this is the correct receipt. They told me the cashier is reliable and wouldn’t make a mistake. You mean a human being could not have possibly typed in the wrong number on accident. They continued to say she is a good cashier and there isn’t anything they can do. This is ridiculous that I came in with the credit card and receipt matching and because someone typed in a number wrong I can’t get my money back. Super frustrated that we are not going to acknowledge a mistake on their part there is no need to continue to shop there on the chance I have to return...
