Meh. Maybe for eaters of dead animals this is better, but I found that my veggie burrito was, well, essentially, some rice and beans with a ton of sour cream, some coldish cheese and some iceberg lettuce. It didn't taste bad but it didn't taste anything special whatsoever in any way. I've had much, much better burritos in Spokane, Seattle, Yakima, Olympia, Portland, Salem when in the Northwest. I still haven't found the great Walla Walla, WA burrito (for someone who doesn't eat stuff off of carcasses, such as us vegetarians). I appreciate the owner's response but when you have so much cold cheese and sour cream, it makes the entire burrito cold pretty quickly, especially in November! Maybe, dial back the sour cream or melt the cheese first? Also, the owner seems oblivious to the way a lot of us eat in the Northwest. The owner asks 'what more could you put into a vegetarian burrito?' Really? You could add potato. You could add tofu. You could add chili rellenos or scrambled egg. You could add sautéed vegetables. You could add one of the myriad meat substitutes that everyone's talking about now. I think you guys need to get out of the trailer more, see what's going on! Vegetarianism and veganism are on the rise in a big way. Should you choose to ignore them, you do that at your own peril. Surely, another business will come along and eat into your profits by offering a wider variety of choices that their customers want. So, come on, step It up! Otherwise, you're not going to be getting my money for your...
Read moreI stopped by El Taco Loco food truck late tonight and had one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. What really stood out to me was their 11-year-old son working the window—he was absolutely phenomenal. So mature, polite, and customer-oriented. He took my order with confidence, repeated it back to make sure it was correct, and handled the interaction like a true professional. You can tell he’s learning from the best from both his mother and father and it’s clear he’s made for the business. You just don’t see kids like that these days. It was honestly inspiring and made the food taste even better knowing it came from a place that values family, hard work, and pride in what they do. Always a late night favorite and tonight made me enjoy them...
