I have never had an issue with the service until upgrading my phone in march. I have made several calls to tech to support to try and fix it and this week has to be the worst. I was never able to get through to an actual person, ended up settling with a chat service. After 3 hours of back and forth texting and not getting the issue resolved. I called a local store and they said they would be able to help me. I went to the store yesterday and in store for nearly 3.5 hours. I was needing to back up my photos so I could do a factory reset that was advised by tech support.. my phone was not allowing me to do so. The lady at the store spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to back them up before realizing I had to be signed in on something. The back up was going to take some time. She said I could go print them off so I would have them just incase and another time stated she just sells phones,tech support is someone I need to call. I had to delete a lot of files and photos to make it move faster.she went to help another customer as I was deleting photos. Once completed I had to do the factory reset on my phone myself and do the start up stuff on my own. They sent me on my way and said it would finish setting up when I got home and connected to wifi.Going to a store to get assistance, for someone to not know how to help you is not ideal. She saw the service problems I was having and suggested on a higher plan of unlimited instead if what works for us and not resolving the issue that did not arise until I received this new phone.. I had to figure out how to set the phone up and get all the stuff transferred over by myself when I got home.. for as much as I pay to have verizon for the network not to work and for spending HOURS on the phone with tech support and in the store to not have issues resolved and have them create a bigger headache afterwards. I have lost a couple of things that I will never be able to get back. Read moreI have been a loyal Verizon customer for many years. Due to remarriage, it made sense for me to switch to my husband’s acct due to him having multiple lines. On July 2, I went into the store to inquire what I needed to do to port my number and the cost. Due to my acct being suspended due to an extended assignment overseas, I was told I had to deactivate for one day. No worries. THEN, we get to other store where we didn’t have the code. The other company would have paid the remaining phone costs, BUT your rep said there were none. Imagine my shock when two days later I got a nearly 500 dollar bill. 6 hours on customer service line and nobody could help. I called TMobile who said that they could pay part or all even though it was too late. I needed an itemized bill. Online customer service for Verizon sent me back to this store for it. I went during the appointed time to be told that they were not part of corporate and could not help. I am not sure if it is lack of knowledge, lack of customer service, or what, but if this store is the only store for Verizon around, go to TMobile. I worked with Tanner to trade in my old LG G7 Thin Q. He was knowledgeable about the current inventory and which phones I could get with the trade in program. He listened to my needs and walked me through which phones he thought would work best. He didn't get pushy about selling unnecessary accessories. He just told me my options, answered my questions and accepted my decisions. He was very friendly. He was also upfront when I first arrived about the possibility of an interruption in what we were doing as he had a customer from earlier in the day due to come back to finish a transaction. It was considerate of him to give a heads up and a great show of character and commitment to his customer's and helping them. As far as customer service goes Tanner was awesome. Getting a new phone and transferring everything is usually a lengthy process, but it always helps if there are friendly and knowledgable sales associates.
