If i could give no stars for this store I would. Today I had by far the worst customer experience at a retail store ever. The store manager there named Eric is doing shady business with the sports trading cards behind customers backs. The 3rd party card holder was stocking the cards today and I happened to be there when she came in to stock. I am a big time card collector and decided to wait around to get my hands on some. All of a sudden they blocked off the card aisle in the front with carts and weren't letting people get them while she was stocking and staff was telling me and a few other people waiting for the cards that it would unfortunately be only 1 box per person. This is actually illegal and this is the only Target store I have ever heard this policy at. Come to find out from my other collector friends that its not a real store policy and they never had to deal with that at other targets. The manager Eric is definitely getting cash under the table from this one guy who comes in and buys all the card product. After I was denied multiple times trying to get more boxes because they only gave me 1, I witnessed an older gentleman come in who half of the front of the store staff including the manager were extra friendly with, almost as if this guy had a personal relationship with all of them. All the expensive cards on the resale market (Panini NBA Chronicles and Donruss NFL) got UNSTOCKED moments after the 3rd party lady stocked them. She unstocked them after the manager Eric came over and whispered something to her (after whispering to the customer that purchased all the product shortly after). While me and a handful of other customers were only allowed to get one box of cards this certain customer that he was talking to on the side was off to the side waiting with a big empty carriage. Eric the manager kept talking back and forth between him and the 3rd party stocker. At this time its when I noticed she was unstocking the cards that resell for good money only and putting them off to the side on this roll cart that another target employee took and brought over to the customer service area and placed them behind the customer service desk. At this time it was announced among the crowd that only 1 box would be allowed and if we had already gotten a box we could not get anymore, pretty much trying to get everyone who was there for cards to go away and leave. Which surprisingly everyone did but I am not a fool and knew what was happening so I stuck around. All the customer service employees kept chit chatting with this same customer and seemed to be very favorable of him and liked him. They kept looking over at me because they knew I was watching them and didn't want to go through with the transaction until I left. Finally after I wouldn't leave the manager Eric came over and handled the transaction with one of the target employees and this sketchy customer. After watching myself and the other customers get denied on buying multiple cards, this one customer bought the whole store out, probably close to 2 thousand dollars worth of NBA and NFL cards. The way this was set up I could tell its been a long running thing with this customer and the manager Eric, the way it was handled you can tell it was done many times before, except this time they did it in front of someone who doesn't like to be played like a idiot. Which is exactly what the manager Eric tried doing. He saw how upset I was as I witnessed the transaction go down and came over to me and lied to me. He tried telling me this transaction was a one time thing and that "he owed this man a favor from last time" whatever that means, and that it wont be happening again. He continued by saying there's no favoritism in that store and that "they don't pick favorites" (even though they just denied me and about 10 other people!!!!) After the transaction was over I watched this customer walk out with 2 thousand dollars worth of trading cards and put them in his car. THIS IS...
Read moreI was in the market for a new phone. My service provider doesn't carry the phone I wanted, but saw Target sold the unlocked version. I went to the phone section and began looking at the phones. Since none of them had any indication of which phone was which, I tapped a few screens to turn the screens on so I could try to figure out which was which. A man walked over and yelled at me saying I was not allowed to touch them. Okay, I understand, pandemic is not a good time to touch things, but again no indication which was which. I said "sorry, trying to figure out which phone is which". Instead of offering to show me the differences, he started messing around on his phone. So I decided I was just going to grab the phone I initially wanted and get it without checking out the demo. My husband walked over and asked if I found what I wanted, so I loudly said yes, I want that one but it's locked in the case. The man didn't even flinch. I walked over to him and said I want a phone out of the case please. He walked hesitantly over. I pointed to the one I wanted and he said it's $250 plus tax, still not opening the case. I said I know and I still want to get it. He said the $250 doesn't include tax though. At this point I wanted to tell him to just keep the phone, but I've been looking for it for months. I told him, yes, I want the phone no matter the cost. He finally opened the case and knocked down the three other phones around it, he just shoved them out of the way, almost in anger, before shutting the display and locking it. We went to the register and he repeated for a THIRD TIME it was $250 before tax. I said I get it, really irritated at this point. He rung it up, I paid. I asked so I just pop in the sim and it's done? He took out his phone again and nodded. I said yeah well thanks for the help. He was wrong, I still needed to go to my carrier to upgrade my sim, but with the amount of effort he put in to not help me in the first place, I shouldn't have expected him to actually TRY to help me with anything else. If anyone is looking to purchase a new unlocked phone, I'd suggest either going on the website because that would be more helpful than the individual...
Read moreI experienced the worst when I went to Target yesterday. I came in to the store like an hour before closing time. It's was a rainy day so not a lot of people were out, basically the store was almost empty. I brought my daughter and my two brother and sister. As kids they decided to take the scooters and follow me while I did my grocery shop, at first I didn't want them to but since there was no one in the store at that time I let them use the scooters. They were fine, just following me around the store while I was doing my groceries shopping. But one of the associate saw them and told them to put the scooters back because there were expensive. So I told the kids to go put them back at the front of the store but on their way there another associated saw them and yell at them, gave them attitude and made a big deal about them sitting on the scooters, they had an argument and basically the associate kick my kids out of the store...a 13, a 14 and a 16 years old kids outside without an adult supervision because according to the associate they were acting up and were being disrespectful to the associate...The manager nor the associate even bother to let me know. Thank God nothing happened to my kids. I think they should've handle the situation a little better and at least call me to let me know what was going on before they kick my kids out of the store in the rain at almost 10:00 pm. My kids could've been hurt or worse kidnap outside by themselves. Target would have been liable for whatever that could've happened to my kids... But I feel better now that I opened a case with Target Corporate, at least I can rest easy knowing that if a situation like that happens again they would handle the situation different, and who knows, I could be saving a kid's live by saying...
