I had a scheduled infusion in November while I was on maternity leave with my infant. I brought her to my infusion because I had no alternate child care. I was refused at the door and told that it was policy that no minors were admitted to the infusion suite. While I understand if that is the policy, it is not stated or posted anywhere. I tried looking at MyChart and the OSU infusion website but no such policy was stated. I was very upset because I was there for a critical medication to treat my chronic renal failure. I had to temporarily go to a different infusion clinic before I got insurance approval to go to OSU, and they blew my veins 13 times in one visit. It took two hours to try those 13 times, and after the two hours and no luck, I asked them to stop as I couldn’t take it any longer. OSU almost always gets a vein the first time. I’ve never had an issue with them.. never.
They have hot blankets, TVs, recliners, beverages.., it’s a very nice facility...
