Little Green Apple — Local services in Washington Township

They carry a hometown favorite chocolate brand, Sarris Candies. Every Christmas & Easter we get all the family something delicious. A lot of nostalgia of back home too. Today in line we met a new friend from around Western Pennsylvania.

It was a great gift to chat with him about home and community. His Croatian roots and my Serbian ones intertwined peacefully with happy memories. Ironically his memory brought him to St Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroeville with some fond stories and mine included the great fish frys at the Aliquippa Croatian Club.

I know this is more than the standard review. But just wanted to thank Hallmark for carrying a smaller regional brand in their stores. Also since it was a Hallmark review to share my real Hallmark moment of two strangers of slightly different heritages making a connection in the spirt of Easter (and the frustration of finding good lamb and fish sandwiches here in Columbus)

Staff at this Hallmark is always so friendly and helpful. I absolutely love this location. I buy all my cards here. I came in for the cards in packs. I got St. Patrick's day cards and Easter cards. I picked up a bunch of mini cards too. I scored a free card for free card Friday! I buy so many cards. Hallmark must love me. Just walk in tell them what kind of card you're looking for...

This could just possibly be me overreacting, but the staff at this particular location don't seem to be too fond of black people. I went in to pick up an online order and the "night and day" demeanor change from the lady at the counter when she was interacting with the white lady before me vs how cold she was with me was pretty scary! Probably won't be back to...
