I've been to Artomatic twice, and there's so much art that I am still planning another trip here to finish out the remaining floors. There's art here from almost every genre: mixed media, african art, you name it. If I had any advice, start from the top at the 8th floor as it is pretty quick. The 2nd and 3rd floors are quite detailed, as well as the 7th floor. There's also opportunities for you to engage with art, such as through the community painting space on the 7th floor, and the labyrinth on the 4th floor. So many inspirational quotes that really had an impact on my personal philosophy, and truly grateful to meet local artists. Are you hungry or thirsty? Just grab a bite on the 3rd floor. Out of charge? Just go to one of the rooms to charge your phone.
There's about a thousand pieces here, and I guarantee that even though those don't consider themselves fans of art end up finding something that they like. Such an exhilarating experience to be able to come here for 2 days, and explore the eight floors, each of which would take about 35-50 mins for a person to go through.
Definitely come here before it closes April 28th. This gallery really takes art to the next level, showing the complexity of things that appear simple, and using art to tell a story about reality, highlighting its disillusionment and lack...
Read moreArtomatic is a wonderful experience but it is not for "everyone". The day we attended the elevator was out of commission. There are 7 floors of exhibits on floors 2-8 (nothing on the ground floor) with many of the most interesting on the upper floors. I felt sorry for parents with baby carriages who had to lug kids etc up all those stairs. It would not be possible for anyone in a wheelchair or who has physical challenges climbing stairs. I am a senior and it was a challenge for me. On some days the elevator (note singular) works but it is very slow and crowded. Don't get me wrong I love Artomatic but I think they should be up front about the...
Read moreThis art show was so incredible! I am shocked that it was free. Next year, I plan to make a whole day of it, because there were so many rooms I sadly had to rush by due to lack of time. There are 8 floors with 800+ artists, and some of the most incredible and interesting pieces of work. I wish I had taken more pictures! I was drawn to so many beautiful landscape and floral paintings, but only took photos of items I thought friends would enjoy. There truly is something for everyone!
Note: dress in layers! Some of the floors...
