Bricklands Inc — Local services in Washington

Update: Bricklands fixed the damage they caused. I updated their review from 1 star to 3 stars. I would have updated it to a higher star review but they never followed up after doing the repairs.

If you decide to hire them make sure they are doing full walk throughs of the property. They should also be informing neighbors if they are doing work that could impact them. A simple business card and note would work left at the door.

I am quite disappointed with Bricklands Inc. My neighbors employed them for a patio project, and I experienced several inconveniences due to their oversight. Firstly, there was a lack of communication from the Bricklands team about the project's scope, especially its impact on my property. The replaced top stones on the wall were noticeably jagged and exhibited damage along the base. To add to the disappointment, they allowed dirty water runoff to spill onto walkways and sections of my property.

If you're considering working with Bricklands Inc., exercise caution. There's a possibility they might disrespect your or your neighbors' properties. Businesses should uphold a responsibility to be considerate of the communities they work in. Regrettably, Bricklands Inc. fell short of these expectations during this project.

We have been using Bricklands for almost a year now. They have been amazing to work with! Our initial home project was to repoint our house and repair a slate patio. The work was done on time and on budget with impressive results.

Once I found out that they also did general home repair, we decided to use them again for a major home remodel. We weren't sure of what to expect, so we just started with one small project. Again, we could not have been happier with the results. Consequently, we continued to hire Bricklands for project after project, including, most recently our kitchen (which looks beautiful, like everything else they've done).

Herson provides really good prices and we trust him. He comes in after each project to make sure everything has been done up to his standards. He doesn't wait for us to call him; he proactively finds any issues and has his workers come back to fix them, so the project is done right.

Bricklands did a fantastic job with our house. They fully repointed one wall and repaired extensive cracks in others. They handled all the permitting (this wall is against a public alley) which was super helpful (they did ask me to talk to/warn the neighbors about the closure which was fine). They set up and cleaned up well, including the paint stripped off the wall- I even had a neighbor reach out to thank me for hiring a responsible contractor. The only other thing I would say is that there was some confusion when it came to what change orders we wanted to go with and the initial scope of work, but they were very courteous and professional about it and everything worked out well.
