I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel this needs to be said. My son got a hair cut today. I won’t mention her name cause I don't want to affect her lively hood however today was a total fail. He had an Inspiration pic of a men’s clipper cut with a longer top because he has curly hair. I stressed to her that it was important to keep the integrity of his curls not to go too short it was very important to him. I told her his 16th birthday was in 2 days and stressed how he had so many bad haircuts that this was important to him. When I saw her take that first swipe with the clippers and watched all that hair fall on the floor my heart sank. There was nothing I could say at that point it was too late. I had to let her continue to shave his head even though I knew it was all wrong. They knew I was being over bearing cause she was messing it up and even made the comment they were use to it when I apologized. She asked Heather twice in the haircut what she thought about things which screamed to me she knew she messed up and was looking for help. I didn’t say anything cause I wanted to make my son feel like he looked great. What am I suppose to say at that point? Can’t put the hair back. I called back a few hours later cause once he got home and tried to style his hair the way he wanted his curl was gone. It was cut way shorter and thinner than the pic he showed. I talked to Heather who was defending her stylist not being very empathetic even though she had to clearly see that the pic and the finished product weren’t even close. Her solution was a gift certificate for her to cut his hair next time and just let it grow, but no thank you. I can’t trust anybody who will defend a stylist who clearly didn’t produce a simple man’s haircut, and made me feel like I did something wrong by not acting displeased to save my sons feelings at the time.. Now I’m heart broken, he’s devastated, and doesn’t even want to leave the house for his birthday. Stylist need to understand that a bad haircut can destroy somebodies self esteem. What you do is so very important to a persons mental health. Your job is far bigger than cutting hair. You can literally break a person with inexperience or a lack of understanding. I would show a pic, but he is too embarrassed for me to post it. Listen to your clients, and if you don’t have experience with certain cuts, or textures of hair then please say so and refer them to somebody who has more knowledge or expertise with it. You will be doing your client a great service by being honest with them and yourself about what you’re capable of....
Read moreAWFUL experience.. TERRIBLE coloring service. Long review but worth reading!! The picture speaks for themselves.
From the moment I walked in the door and simply asked where to park I was greeted with rudeness and felt unwelcomed. There’s a huge parking lot behind the building yet they have no customer parking and if you park back there your car will be towed. Seems illogical to me... most businesses have parking for customers.. something they should probably consider. I really debated going back in after moving my car because of the attitude I received but unfortunately I had a gift card so felt as if I had to go in and use it.. otherwise it would be just wasted money... my first mistake. The manager and stylist apologized for the behavior and convinced me that I would have a great experience with the best & most trained colorist they have. I trusted them... my second mistake. I have red hair that was faded and asked for a merlot (red/purple) color and showed the stylist pictures.
I was there for SIX hours and left starving, without a haircut and BLUE streaks in my hair.. (I did not ask for blue..) and was asked to come back over the weekend so it could be fixed. They compensated me by giving me a conditioning treatment for free.. but it left my hair feeling like greasy straw.. my hair was not silky & shiny as it normally is after a fresh color!! It still looked faded and dried out.
I left in tears and went home and had to recolor my hair myself, after I just spent $200 there. The building and staff were nice, after they apologized for being rude.. but the services not so much. I’m not one to bash people for their work but I felt that I needed to share my experience to prevent others from experiencing the same frustration & disappointment as me. (I worked as a hairdresser for 3 years professionally I know how tough it can be.. but I also never let my customers leave unhappy and I could read body language to know if they were happy or not)
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Picture 1-3 - what I left the salon with.. taken in my car in natural sunlight. Picture 3 shows the BLUE. Picture 4 - what I showed the stylist Picture 5 - my hair after I went home and...
Read moreI don't even know where to begin to say how great my experience was. Heather did hair for 5 people for a wedding, and she was as calm, cool, and collected as possible. I was so worried about running late, but she kept the show going and moved everyone along perfectly. She made suggestions for styles and they were all great - the ladies looked stunning! I had to cancel the person I had secured for makeup a week before the wedding because I wasn't getting great vibes, and Capelli found another makeup artist at the last minute. Michelle did an amazing job and brought out the natural beauty in everyone. She kept moving throughout the afternoon and got everyone finished on time, even though we added an extra person. Both were super easy to deal with and so very pleasant. I will definitely be using this salon again for any future needs. Aside from them being professionals, they are so very nice and accommodating. Also, while they collect a deposit to secure your spot, they apply the deposit to your final bill. This is virtually unheard of with other salons as most charge a "booking fee" which is over and above the cost of the service. I was super happy about that!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND...
