Visited this afternoon thinking we were going to the "Downtown Holiday Market" but we realized that's a different market over by the Portrait Gallery. This market was underwhelming - only about 20-24 vendors facing each other in 1 row and only 1 was selling to-go food - I was hoping to sample the amazing toasted marshmallows, waffle tacos, smores, churros I keep seeing on the instagram reels....but the lone food vendor was only selling some hot choc, hot coffee, donuts & empanadas (my friend said her chai was good and my coffee was...just coffee). The instagram videos for these 2 markets are confusing because they seem to be a blend of both markets. This could be a problem for people with mobility issues. There were outdoor heaters, not all working and could have had a few more. I definitely think this market is...
Read moreThe market was small, but cute. Shake Shack next door was so busy, they're pretty great but didn't go due to the lines. Food tent lines on the 23rd were not awful as many described in other reviews. Regardless, tons of great food options around. The live music was nice. I used Spot Hero for parking and parked at the Victor Building. Parking is right in there so only recommended for small cars. It was a 5 minute walk to the holiday market and a 20 minute walk from the National Tree near the White House. Afterwards we drove a mile to the Capitol building to see the tree as well. It's a nice central location for the limited holiday festivities...
