Fleur was by the far the best thing to happen to us during our home-buying experience. From the initial process of hearing about what our “must-haves” in a house were, through sending us (almost every day for a few months) homes popping up on the market, through showing us nearly 10 different homes safely during a public health emergency, through finally signing on many dotted lines, Fleur was our trusted, professional advocate at every step of the way.

First, Fleur understood our needs, which admittedly changed as we look at more houses, and adapted to them. She constantly updated us about trends in the market, sent us listings from both her agency and other agencies, vetted listings that we sent to her, and helped us select the ones that were worth taking a second look at. Through this process, she was regularly in touch by phone and email. We were actually in Puerto Rico during a significant part of our home search process, but Fleur made it feel like we were in DC.

Second, Fleur showed us at least 10 different homes, including some homes multiple times. In fact, she sometimes would go to the homes by herself and then FaceTime us DURING THE PANDEMIC. There she was, by herself, walking through a quiet Capitol Hill home, pointing out the pros and cons to us on a video chat. Once we got to DC, she showed us many homes in person. She was patient with us, gave us the pros/cons, waited outside with us while other folks were going in and out of the house, and blissfully managed the process so we could quickly go from one house to the next without wasting much time in between.

Third, Fleur is a kind, funny, and trustworthy person. She’s someone that we genuinely enjoyed spending time with. Also, a professional that will honestly answer the question “Why shouldn’t I buy this house?” is a keeper, even when it means you eventually buy the house.

Finally, in the buying process, Fleur was an absolute godsend. She convinced us to write a letter to the sellers of our dream home and took the time to read it before we sent it to the sellers. We didn't think it would make a difference, but it ultimately did! We were told by the sellers’ agent that they accepted our offer even though it was slightly lower than the highest offer, in part, BECAUSE OF THE LETTER. That's the kind of attention to detail that Fleur brings to the table. It's why she is special, and it’s just one of many reasons that we wholeheartedly recommend Fleur without any reservations.
