Most of the staff have no idea what they are doing.
Came in based on advertisements I had seen for their fitted suits that would be altered to personal sizing / preferences.
The gentleman asssisting with the fitting seemed to have no idea what he was doing. Took measurements, but somehow screwed up the measurements, and spent time going through about 6 different sized jackets. Eventually find what they said was the best fitting jacket. It wasnt, but they said it could be altered to fit better. Ok, no issues there.
My number one requirement was that I be able to have a lot more movement in the arms. I could raise my arms only a few inches. I asked if they could make it so I had a lot more flexibility. No issues they said (by the way, this was person number 4 who had come in to help the first person who was obviously new. Rather than have a single person serving me while training him, i guess i got the fly by help.
Anyway, despite my concerns that they may not really know what they are talking about, I decided to go ahead and pay for the suit and alterations.
They said they would call when it was ready in a few days. No Call. Two weeks later, I call them and find out its been sitting waiting for a week. Get told I must have missed the call???? Um, even if i missed the non-existant call, maybe lave a voice mail?
Anyway, come in to pick up suit. Try it on. The arms seem to have little change in the movement. The biggest requirement I asked for in the damn jacket. After discussing with the lady who was there when I picked it up (only one who seemed to know what they were talking about), she advised it best if i came back another day when the tailor was there so we can fix it.
Come in a couple days later, meet with tailor. Turns out that no, they cant actually adjust the suit that way. Its not made to be adjusted how i want it.
So now I have a suit that is non-refundable because they altered it (even though the alterations didnt alter what I wanted them to fix).

   Read moreI just want to lodge a note of extreme dissatisfaction here about Charles Tyrwhitt and everything that has transpired since my original ill-begot decision to purchase 4 of his shirts waaaay back yonder in November of 2013, and the sad, meandering story that has awkwardly revealed itself since that time. After not one â but two! - separate delays, I eventually received word today that Charles Tyrwhitt finally got around to processing my replacement order. Imagine my surprise when, without word or circumstance, I read that only half of my order was shipping...noted only by the minutely and unceremoniously written "cancelled" tag line next to 2 of the 4 shirts I had ordered as replacement. So in lieu of a âreplacement order,â Charles Tyrwhitt supplied me with a âr ceme t or er .â Half is missing, no? And it makes it confusing for the recipient, I think youâll agree. I note further that there was no indication on this email of when these mysterious, teasing, and truant togs might be shipped, what happened to have caused the cancellation, or what I should do about it. Imagine further my surprise when I called the phone number provided in their email to inquire about the odd happenings above, and was told, "I'm sorry Mr. XXXX, these shirts are no longer available and we have no plans on stocking them again." Not quite fully sorted, are we? Given all the imagination that I've asked of you above, I'm sure you will not find it hard to imagine that I will not be doing any further business with Charles Tyrwhitt, but will, rather, be posting this in as many feedback locations...
   Read moreI had to return 11 shirts ordered from the website based on a measurement mistake made on my part. One would think returns to be the least desirable job responsibility that an employee would feel like doing. Paul handled all 11 of my returns, measured and fitted me for the correct shirt size, found what replacements were available in the store, and reordered all the necessary out of stock shirts I needed. He printed me up a receipt, emailed me a receipt and clearly explained to me what I needed to do to get expedited shipping afterwards. Not only that, he appeared to be multitasking with another pick up order...flawlessly and in a way that didn't interfere with his customer service being provided to me. ALL the other employees in the store were very friendly and courteous the entire time. I left feeling like Paul went the extra mile in terms of customer service and I feel his customer services perfectly represented the quality of the company's clothing.
