Warka Coffee is not in the "heart of Capitol Hill," but it does offer up close views of the U.S. Capitol. Opened in August 2025, I popped into Warka Coffee since I love a new coffee shop. Here's my experience.

  1. Coffee: I ordered a large latte and it was good. It's darker than I usually enjoy, but it was still tasty. I'd order it again.

  2. Food: They have breakfast and lunch items and a full glass box of pastries from Fresh Baguette. The pumpkin croissant was unique and good.

  3. Service: The staff are kind and passionate about what they built.

  4. Space: It's a cozy place with lots of seating. They keep it clean and organized.

  5. Area: Since it's not in a highly residential neighborhood, most of the nearby street...

The service needs more work and professionalism. I ordered an iced Moroccan latte which for some reason they didn’t have on the line. They kept asking me what I ordered and I kept saying iced Moroccan latte with almond milk. For some reason they kept making iced americanos. They asked me again and I said iced Moroccan latte with almond milk. The guy made a hot version and I said no I ordered iced. Then another guy was like you saw him make hot why didn’t you say anything and I was like I didn’t see him make anything I was not paying attention. It’s not my job to know how to make the drink when you’ve been messing up and taking a lot of time. Very unprofessional. Will...
