Went there with my family and instantly loved the vibe of the place. We were greeted by the Bartender Chris that night and from that point on, his attention to detail and service were just spectacular! He immediately paid attention to us having a child with us and steered us to suggestions that would work for a child while also giving us great suggestions on food and drink. The drinks were great - I got a Paloma riff and enjoyed it, wife got a vodka drink and said it was good too. The food - possibly some of the best Mediterranean food I have had in the US, it really has no business being as good as it is - the chicken was super tender and flavorful and everything was seasoned to perfection. The toum was sublime and to the point that we talked so much about it that Chris got us a bunch to go. Desserts were amazing, the Bakhlava was just crunchy and sweet enough and the chocolate dish was great too.
Overall a five star experience that I am thankful we had - definitely will be back here when we are...
Read moreThank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit to Cafe Fili Washington, DC. your staff were so very accommodating and informed about our special dietary needs. The food at Cafe Fili was always delicious! My son had a wonderful time and liked that he could order special food and the chef would make it so he could eat it. If you wouldn’t mind telling me how you prepared the Lamb Kofta or Bulgir labneh, I would like to try making some for him at home, since he enjoyed it so much. He even asked if we could stay until his birthday in July. He said that he wanted to have his birthday at Cafe Fili ! What a thoughtful gesture to have the cake for my niece on her birthday! It was delicious, and my son and my mom enjoyed their desserts as well. I know my niece will remember her 10th birthday for years to come. I would like to Thank Mr, Ziad for the Romantic environment and very delicious Wine and Food experience he brought to...
Read moreWhat an absolute find in DC.
Consistently one of the more historically disappointing cuisines in the DC area, Mediterranean food has firmly found life once and for all in this town in the form of Cafe Fili, a marvelously charming culinary delight found nestled in the Mt. Vernon corridor. Excellence emanates in every which way from this resplendent corner establishment, whether that be both the superb cocktails and remarkably satisfying mocktails from Chris behind the bar, the cooking team's uniquely accessible and equally delectable creations (seemingly from-scratch pitas, hummus trios, chicken kabob platters, tender lamb; all top-notch), and undeniably terrific service-paid attention to both indoor and outdoor customers where no glass was left empty and no customer was left unattended to (special shoutout, Quinn).
Surely not a place to be unfamiliar with, let alone miss. Bravo...
