Bought a rather expensive Honeywell Space Saving Cash Drawer on 4/25/2019 to use in my personal business only to get it home and discover the release button was a bit too hard to push in and have it release, so I returned it today. This review is more about the customer service than the product as I would guess most would be fine with it, just didn't work for me.
I walked in with the cash box, it was a bit heavy and I am pretty small and proceeded toward the customer service/online order desk only to be told by who I guess was a manager to go through the one open cashier to make a return. Ok, fair enough, maybe the three employees standing at that desk were unable to take a return, didn't want to think they were too busy chatting. As the cashier took my reciept and keyed in numbers she paused and said I don't know how to do this. She retrieved one of the chatty members named "Chase" (I am guessing a manager)and he took his sweet time walking the 10 feet to her register, he did not acknowledge me or even make eye contact. No instead he went back and forth between the two registers and the customer service desk I referenced previously that I was not to approach for a return until finally he was able to print something out and get the return accepted. What Chase doesn't know and didn't take time to ask was how I was doing today...you see I have a auto-immune disease that was causing me great pain today and the slightest offer for assistance would have been greatly appreciated, whatever happened to seeing an elder struggling with a big box and offering to assist? Instead Chase let me know with his actions and inability to walk faster than a snail on a Sunday stroll he was not remotely interested in providing a great, or in his case even a sub-standard experience today. As a result it will be quite awhile, if at all, I return to this Staples. This is why store front businesses are closing their doors. Customer service if good will convince me to drive out of my way to purchase your goods. I guess I picked a bad day for that, they were not busy and could have made this a much better experience. Chase would never be in a position of authority in any business I ran. Hopefully he will see this and change before they lose more than my business. With that said, I see all the rave reviews for customers looking to buy something so maybe they just don't want to accept...

I spoke with Sonya, who I had phenomenally positive interactions on previous visits, by phone about a printer and she took the time to share insights, though on her way out at the end of her shift. I discovered the printer we were interested in had a promotion that was ending that night (Saturday). I called back and Kerry was very gracious in providing promotional details and checking inventory availability. It was determined it was to our advantage to purchase that day, though within an hour of closing. Kerry kindly brought the printer to the technology checkout and turned it over to Laura for more technology expertise. I arrived at the store about 20 minutes to closing, but Laura patiently and graciously helped me select additional ink and talked through all questions and options related to the printer. As finances are an issue for us, she was fabulous in finding best price match options from competitors coupled with Staple's wonderful coupons and Reward payback, which helped us tremendously in the affordability of the purchase. Lastly, Laura brought the printer out to my car and had me loaded and ready to go before 7:00 pm. It was a wonderful example of the conscientious teamwork of the entire staff from the manager and all other team members, with the ultimate goal of ensuring my satisfaction and that all my needs were met. It begins at the top with the manager Sonya, but the goal of total customer service and satisfaction is conveyed throughout all her associates, as Kerry and Laura exhibited on this occasion.    Read moreOrdered business cards through the website. Went to pick up my order and they were off center to the left, front and back, equal distance. The guy working there offered to resend the order to their production facility or whatever it was called and said that they would center them because their printer didn't always work and it looked like it was because of the printer. Got the new shipment today and now the back is perfect but the front is off center to the right now. Was informed that even through the website even if it shows it's perfect it doesn't always print as so. Absolutely frustrating to have happen twice BUT the guy helping me, I forgot his name but was wearing a Green Bay Packers sweater was the most professional, accommodating, nicest employee I've ever dealt with.
