I bought lunch for my buddy and me today. The customer service at the register was okay but they brought out somebody else's order with our order today. I didn't realize it at the time but my friend was looking at the receipt when an employee walked up and took back the burger and fries that were actually somebody else's order. I don't know if they took that food over to whoever ordered it? Surely not? But they didn't leave it with us either and probably threw it away I'm guessing. I had requested, and let them know I'd be happy to wait, that I get french fries that were burning hot right out of the grease. But as they were brought to the table, they were just the standard warm french fries. I didn't say anything and I just ate them. My burger was kind of the same way. It tasted a little bit different. It wasn't bad but it didn't taste exactly like Whataburger cheeseburgers normally taste. And honestly, it wasn't very good either. It still tasted okay but not good. It just wasn't very hot and it felt like it might have been sitting for a little bit before they brought it out. I'm not really sure if that's what happened or not? I like Whataburger a lot but today the lack of giving me what I wanted and asked for, along with a few other things like the taste and lukewarm condition of the food, made me not enjoy the meal today. It seems near impossible to get what you order anymore but usually Whataburger is pretty good about getting things right at least over where I live. I'm just giving Whataburger an average rating today because they did not do what I asked and the food was not as good as it usually would be. I ordered food from here through the Uber app and when I received the food it was cold just hard old etc. So I called and spoke with someone that morning. She was very nice she said just to keep my receipt and they would remake my order so I did. Like a week later my husband and I decided we go pick up order with receipt in hand I decided to call before we came in because I have never did remake order so I call speak to Daniel let him know what was going on he was very rude to me said he wasn't going to remake my order then hung up in my my face. I couldn't believe a MANGER would act like that. He end up calling me back saying that he spoke with the head manager she said everything was fine for us to come on in. When we get there we order our food pull up to window with our receipt he says he can't use it he needs the paper receipt I was trying to explain that I just have it on my phone because it was a online order he slams the window in my face but thanks to the cashier Brandon he came sorted everything out with no problem I will never return to this location never in my life .. Read moreWent through the drive through, the order taker standing out side was amazing. Got the order right, charged everything correctly, read the order back 100% accurate. Paid and drove forward as instructed. Ordered a kidschicken strips meal with a cookie and power aide, whataburger meal only meat cheese and ketchup with a power aide, and a chicken strip meal wotb a sprite a large vanilla shake and an apple pie. The girl at the window was very nice and asked my name to confirm the order. I had the bags to my kids to hold onto. One had the drinks, the other had the food. And we left.
I know there has been a lot of discussion about fast food people making more for minimum wage... here's how I feel. The order taker? Yeah give him a bump. He was amazing. The guy on the grill? Minimum wage. How hard does one have to try to mess up something as simple as bun, cheese, meat, ketchup, bun? The girl at the window? Minimum wage. You can't forget to put half of one order in the bag.
