Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Watauga

Been there a few times before, but won't be going back. This kid working behind the counter was wearing a filthy shirt. He prepaired my bowls to go and on BOTH times he pulled the lids out of the sleeve to cover my icecream but not before watching him both times WIPE THE INSIDE OF MY LIDS ON HIS SHIRT!! When I asked him why he was wiping the insides of my lids on his filthy shirt, he denied ever doing that.. So in his own way called me a liar... I refused to take the tainted items and he went to get me another bowl... He had to have picked the smallest half sized bowl they had on the rack to start over... I told him forget it and walked out. Management needs to address this. No way in hell that I'm gonna' give my wife and kid food that someone wiped their sweat on... Horrible service that time and it was enough to cease...

We showed up at 4:12 pm on a Saturday. A girl was rushing customers out of the shop & locking the doors. She said she was going on a dinner break & that she was the only one working. The customers she rushed out were extremely unhappy. They said they spent $40 & barely got a full scoop of ice cream. Now that I see all the reviews on here, I will never come back to this location again. The “management “ responds to all of the customer negative experiences with the same carbon copy response so it shows they could care less that their customers are being run off & there is severe lack of any kind of business knowledge. We drove to Alliance & went to Cold Stone Creamery, got 5 cones with mix ins & spent $35. Portions there were abundant & customer service was impeccable. Don’t waste your time at this melted...

I can't tell you how many food preperation violations i witnessed here. My kids wanted some, but i chose not to. The person who was working did not clean the surface except with his scraper even after a parent mentioned a nut allergy. My chikdren all complained that the candy etc was all in a clump and not mixed in at all. My daugter found a hair in hers. The worker wore no mask, gloves. Even the sign on the door says mask required. Also, i know when men with facial hair "even puby wisps" prepare food, they are supposed to wear a net over it. All of the mixing utensils were in the same bucket of dirty water and he kept dunking them in and spreading water throught the ice cream. I will NEVER come back to one of these.... I'm actually thinking the health dept. Needs to be made aware...
