I go to this Starbucks daily only because it is close to my house. The service here is not great. At least 2 times a week my venti drink is half full when I pick it up. Today I went in and they had it in a grande cup. I asked the barista and she said they were out of venti cups. I told her I felt cheated on paying for a venti and she just shrugged and walked away. I ordered a mobile order last week and arrived 20 minutes later (it said it would be ready in 15). My drink was not on the counter I asked a barista and she said oh I will make that now for you. I proceeded to stand there for another 10 minutes with a crying baby in my arms. I go up to check on the drink again and they said they didn’t receive my mobile order. I showed them the receipt on my phone and they finally started to make it. The first barista lied to my face. I gave her my name and she looked at the screen and said she would work on it…she obviously never did. Luckily the second barista I asked did make it. I shouldn’t have to wait 40 minutes for coffee and be lied to. Don’t even bother with the drive thru. They put you on hold at the order screen until they have no cars in front of you at the window. The line wraps around the building because they work on one order at a time I guess to get some kind of good service time frame which is a joke. I have to sit at the order screen for 5 minutes until all they even take my order. I have loved Starbucks and been a regular. I guess it’s time to try some of the other coffee shops in the area if they are going to start charging me venti priced and fixing me grandes. So...
Read moreSo I'm not a coffee drinker, but i love the double chocolate chip creme frap and the Mocha Cookie Crumble frap. I get lite ice so it's not as frozen and easier to drink. Then again, it last longer with regular ice, but i can always get a bigger size cup.
I like the one on Denton hwy in Watauga coz it has a drive thru and they are pretty fast getting my order out.
What I don't like is the paper straws they give you. They don't last throughout the whole drink so I end up wasting 1/3 of drink. It gets wet, soggy and it's no longer useful. It seems they are just a little thinner than a regular straw so the cookie crumbles or chocolate chips get stuck in the straw.
I understand what is behind the concept and appreciate a company worried about our environment, but the concept has to work and a paper straw in something wet is just not working for me if I'm wasting 1/3 of what I paid for. Possibly there may be some drink that it works for, but those are two drinks it doesn't work for. I have heard other people complain too. It kinda takes the fun out of enjoying a drink you bought to enjoy.
So if they stick with paper straws, more than likely I will have to stop frequenting Starbucks because it's no longer enjoyable. It's basically a...
Read moreI cannot express how grateful or appreciative that I am for the BEAUTIFUL souls that work at this location.
My son and I have been in self isolation for about 6 weeks now and we cherish the infrequent drive throughs that we take to have some normalcy. My sweet little man has been desperate to talk to people, give hugs and be social. But, alas, we cannot.
However, today Bella - oh sweet Bella -, was beyond anything I could have asked for in giving my son a precious gift. I asked her if she would speak to my son via the drive-thru and she more than obligated. My son was so excited and happy to "speak" to the big screen. Bella, was open and loving and my heart exploded with tears. As parents, we just want everything for our kids to be happy and safe.
Bella delivered.
As we drove to the window, my son had even more interaction with the lovely woman that handed us our drinks and ,added bonus, Bella came to say hello too.
I couldn't stop crying because I was just so grateful of how authentic and loving they are and were with my son.
THANK YOU!. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!
A million thank-yous for your hearts!
