A one up better than Walmart. I like it has become the one stop shop. Buy household to clothing to food then go find an electronic item. Target has it all, more pricer and better quality than Walmart. We call it Tarjay. I shop here for most of my household items unless I need it in bulk. Lately its been crazy to shop at since Covid but like the drive up and they put it in your car feature so you don't need to wait in the redic long lines. They do sanitize the carts and try hard to maintain Covid friendly behavior but sometimes hard because you have so many rule breaking customers.

Double check all electronics you buy before leaving the store. I just bought what I thought was a new clear case for my iPhone. Guess I was wrong about the new, when I got home the seal on the package was already opened. Then looking at the case there were multiple scratches and even plastic missing from one of the corners. Obviously this product was used and they were trying to sell it as new at $40. I will be going back and returning this product. At least have the decency to quality check items and if they are returned damage don’t mark them at full price.

It’s a nice Target and it’s the standard format that you might find in many towns across the US. It was late so they were stocking shelves but you can see that it was tastefully decorated and the familiar scent, look, and feel of a Target, makes this weary traveler, feel like he’s close to home.

At this point I will be driving the hour plus to go to different targets instead of the one conveniently close to my home. Today on 6/21/2025 @ 11:10-11:30 am, I went to self checkout. There wasn’t a long line at first, but seeing there was 3 customers, who had already been waiting for assistance. I waited for a few more minutes till I decided I couldn’t just sit back and watch them not get some sort of help so I went to the service desk to let them know. Who ever was on, the girl snapped at me, saying yea we know, the person called out, my manager will be up or my manager will get to it, I was starting to see red with the girls attitude towards me. Which took a good 10-15 more minutes for someone to come help them who needed help. When I was able to get to a register I was once again greeted with that great old alert that their new self checkout machines can’t take cash at the moment. Well then I had to go to the only register open, and waited another 10-15 minutes. All the while those poor customers in self checkout still had yet to be helped. Finally someone does help them, then someone opened another register. I went to register 4. My purchase was a total of $55.03, I handed the woman a 50, a 20, and a nickel, for total of $70.05. The change the woman gave me…. .02 cents. I realized when she gave me the receipt, she went to walk away and I said hold on, you owe me change still, she reluctantly gave it to me. I will be happy if those cameras are rolled back too because when she opened her register there was no 20’s in the 5$ bill slot. She knew what I gave her. At this point I’m going to be driving the hour plus to a different target. This target has gone down hill, the employees are absolutely rude, they don’t have it together, and they can’t ever seem to have anything working properly. The biggest is the way their employees talk to customers. They are very rude. A customer in front of me, told me how just last week, she went to a open register with a person( the girls light was even on showing she was open), put her groceries on the belt (this woman has only one arm) She put very heavy water jugs on the belt. Instead of letting her know before she did that. She waited for the other customer to be done, to say oh no I’m closed. Walking away. Making her load everything back to her cart. Are you serious?!?!? What is going on here?!?!? I’m absolutely appalled by their behavior and lack of respect, empathy, and just all around customer service for the people who get their paychecks for them. If it wasn’t for our money. They wouldn’t have a paycheck. Smh. If I could I would go to a whole new company. But sadly targets the only one that carry’s my sons diapers. And they are cheaper then online, before someone says order them. I save 10-15$ getting them in store at target. I emailed corporate. But I have little faith this will be...

I left Target today feeling really disappointed — not because of my own shopping experience, but because of what I saw one employee being put through.

It was Sunday around 4 p.m. at the Waterford, CT store. I came in to buy baby formula and noticed there was only one regular register open, with a long line. The employee working that register — wearing a high-visibility vest with shopping carts on the back — was also the only one managing the front end. He was literally running between the main checkout line and the self-checkout area, helping customers nonstop. At one point, three self-checkout stations had red lights flashing, and he rushed over to fix them all before going back to his register.

When I accidentally double-scanned my item, he quickly came over to help, still smiling and polite. I even apologized to him, saying I couldn’t believe he was doing all of this alone. His response: “It’s okay, I’m used to it.” Meanwhile, the service desk sat completely empty.

This worker was handling the job of multiple people just to keep the store running — and he deserves a ton of credit. For him, I have nothing but respect. But for the store itself, I’m incredibly disappointed that Target would leave the entire front end on one...

Big shout out to the stellar cashier who’s line I waited in for ten minutes while she rang someone’s full conveyor of items out, turned off her light when someone got in line behind me explaining she was now closed, then proceeds to inform me I now have to use self check out. God forbid she had mentioned it in any of the several minutes I stood beside her register. Oh! AND, Good thing I asked if she was no longer taking me, seeing as she was diligently attempting to pretend I hadn’t been standing there for ten minutes, and the 15 times she had made eye contact with me were obviously coincidental. For a second I was sympathetic, because the person who attempted to get in line behind me was clearly going to be a difficult customer, and seeing as I also work in customer service, I figured having me leave the line as well could avoid a potential problem. But it took me all of 2 seconds to realize...oh yeah...wait....except I would NEVER tell the person ten minutes after being up next, who’s been standing in my line waiting this whole time, that when it’s now their turn, I’m closed. Bravo Target, try a new training course on customer service or you know, general...
