After both growing up going to Robert’s and enjoying their food at the annual Wern Valley Great Cancer Shootout, they were the first ones we thought of when we started planning our wedding! Robert’s did a fantastic job catering our 110 person heavy-appetizer wedding reception. The owner, Paul, went above and beyond while helping us plan an entirely custom menu, and helped us choose a ton of options for our guests while listening to and responding to our feedback throughout the process (which included catering to gluten-free and dairy-free dietary restrictions). The best part is that, almost four months later, we STILL get compliments about the delicious food that Robert’s provided! They were by far the most cost-effective catering option, asking our budget up front and working within it. We did have to provide our own plates/silverware and linens, but this may be changing soon as they beef up (pun intended) the catering side of their business. Paul and his staff were incredibly professional and compassionate both during the planning process and on the day of our wedding, and we look forward to using them for other events...
Read moreWent in on st Patrick's day to pick up a order for cornbeef that I ordered the day before. I asked for 3lbs of meat. Well when I went in there was one guy behind the counter and it was busy. So this older man came out to help and seem liked he didn't want to be there. He asked me what I needed I said I put a order in for cornbeef he says 2 lbs and I said 3 lbs then he said well you want me to cook it for you too. I thought that was weird comment he was very rude. He checked me out to leave and while I was leaving he said another Rude comment. First of all first time in the place not impressed with the service very rude you don't want to be there it's not the customers fault. Will not be going in there again.RUDE , found out it was the owner that's even worse get a grip and be nicer to your customers. Or just stay in the back so you won't ruin...
Read moreThe worst...last deer hunting season I had Robert's handle the 35lbs of trimmings of venison... I called for 3 months to check if my venison sticks were ready for pick up..nobody knew what happened to my venison..in may I received a call to come pick up my venison sticks or it will be tossed away! The owner never apologized and when i asked for a discount...for the 6 month ordeal he replied..absolutely no!! I've gone to a few different butchers in 30 years of deer hunting and this was a nightmare..worst experience of my life!! I went to Rivers edge in Jefferson..longer drive but...way better service and better prices and 10 day turn...
