Was in yesterday, looking for a pair of more stylish dress pants that were tighter than slim fit and tapered at the bottom. Not sure what his name is but the in-house tailor came out of his section to take me over to the pants I was looking for and proceed to try to tell me what I wanted. We ran into an employee that was actually working the section we were in but the tailor refused to let the other employee take over even though we were much more comfortable with the second employee. While having a conversation with the second employee, the tailor was standing over at the register with an irritated look on his face then said “c’mon guys I got a line of people waiting over there”. Also when the other employee offered to take over the trailer replied “dude are you drunk?” Very rude, was going to buy a shirt and shoes as well, only left with the pants and actually contemplated putting them back in spite of the hours it took to find what I was looking for. If any HR person is reading this, something needs to be done about that tailor, it seems like I’m not the first person he’s been rude to and when I’m spending good money on clothes, that’s the last thing that is acceptable from a...
Read moreI came in to check out their cosmetics department. The first time I walked through, nobody acknowledged me. As a former AE/trainer/freelancer/regional artist/counter person in cosmetics, any brand would be mortified to have any of these people behind the counter. It was just employees on their phones talking about OCD, or staring into space. Dillard's is truly the bowels of retail, Macy's is actually "classier." When I walked back through, someone asked if I needed help in an extremely unprofessional, speedy way. At that point, I had purchased what I needed at Sephora, which was Tom Ford and Gucci fragrance, Dior concealers, and went to my car and left. For a retailer that is trying to "elevate" their beauty experience, think things over. You'll never compete with the service of Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom, so get that out of your head. Yeah, I want to buy a $200.00 cream and have it put in a plastic bag that breaks! Great job, Dillard's! Also Kudos to the guy in the Psycho Bunny department for saying hello as I...
Read moreI had to find shorts, bathing suit, and bra and planned on looking for a few household and baby items since I just had a kid but I couldn't even look without being followed around the store with plain clothes employees and security watching over me. Not just coincidence but literally two beady eyed men staring while looking at bras and bathing suits, just standing there staring but neither could even make eye contact or speak when I went and walked up to them. It was disgusting and creepy, they looked like voyers. Very annoying to be profiled as a thief and really disturbing for a men to watch you while you try to find a bras and a bathing suit. I wanted a new bathing suit and cover to take to the beach house this week but wasn't about to try anything on with them watching me. Your security team was way way off on this one. Great way to lose a customer who, get this.... actually has money and -BUYS- whatever I want. From someone who is an actual retired agent, you...
