Hobby Lobby — Local services in Weaverville

Don't do anything for Halloween, even for the innocent Christian trick or treating kids, but yet Christmas is a Pagan holiday in origin. This is all hobby lobbys though. This location: the employees don't know where literally anything is at (was told that a certain kind of paint I was looking for was in the craft section. That is pretty much the entire back part of the store.....), I get judgemental looks all the time due to my colored hair and tattoos, the cashiers (and even managers) are always rude or snotty, and it's just super overpriced in general. I've only been a few times because it is right down the street from me and it's for my business, and I hate going into Asheville to go to Michaels or Joanns. But after these visits, I think I'm done. The staff needs to get more friendly and knowledgeable and the company itself needs to work on the pricing and the close minded views they have as a "loving" Christian...

Today was the first time I got to explore inside Hobby Lobby. I was beyond excited while shopping, especially when I saw the super low prices for practically any item you could possibly need. Then my time there got cut short because of how uncomfortable the employees made me feel. They were following me through out the whole store and not a one asked If I needed help or said anything to me. But I did hear over the intercom something about security. Its like they were harrasing me, trying to make me feel like I have done something wrong. I had don nothing for them to even act this way toward me. I was trying to have a great first experience and look at everything. I give 5 stars for the store and the products and ZERO stars for the employees and the atmosphere. Completely rude and made me cut my shopping...

Update 2023: Dropping points with me a lot recently. Had two staff members snuggly mumble to each other when I tried to purchase a product, and they wouldn't give me the advertised sale price. All sale prices have to be keyed in. It's not automated, so there's plenty of room for error. This has happened multiple times now when I've noticed a mistake on my receipt or during checkout, and it turns into a dramatic gesture. Previously a weekly customer, my business will be back in Asheville to Michael's.
