It was just a week or two before Christmas and I felt like I had most of my shopping done but there was still something missing. It was a meaningful gift for the most important people in my life so I made a visit into Hallmark. I looked around a bit, and the store was laid out beautifully with lots of options, but I was soon approached by one of the staff. Her name was Christie Hickman, Christie did something special for me that day she didnât just ask me how she could help me. She asked me all the right questions what was I looking for? Who are the gifts for and what was your connection to the people you were buying gifts for? The first two questions were common place. The third question was so important; important in the way that Iâve never thought about before your connection to someone itâs not just mother- daughter or best friend, but it is a life experience that youâre both never forget so I begin to look for keepsake ornaments for each one on my list and Christie asked me about each person on my list and took the time to lead me to the right places to find the ornaments that fit each relationship!! I donât live in the area if I did, I would go in and give Christie a hug, but I did feel inclined to write this review to let this young woman know her level of interest and compassion helped me through a tough moment, and she felt more like a friend than a staff member assisting me with the special keepsake gifts.    Read moreHonestly wish I could leave a zero star review for Lynette (I think thatâs her name). This used to be my favorite Hallmark store until recently. I came in to the store and found out Chandler was no longer manager. Truly a shame!! He was so kind and thoughtful and always went above and beyond for me and Iâm sure many other customers as well. Lynette is just awful. I can hear her talking to her employees very rudely and hardly interacting with us customers. It was really frustrating when I was trying to ask her any questions she would just redirect me to someone else instead of actually helping me herself!! I was trying to get to know her a little especially since Chandler left. Not the same feeling AT ALL. Short, curt, and rude. And when I came to check out, she started my transaction (!!!!) only to pass it off to someone else to finish checking me out while she just stood there and watched. It made me feel very awkward.    Read moreI went to purchase cards and an ornament today and was told I could not purchase an ornament because I was not a member of the ornament club. Of all the years I have been to this Hallmark, I have never been told that I could not purchase an ornament on the first day of the ornament release. I did not know that Hallmark had become so âexclusive.â. I have spend hundreds of dollars at this hallmark. If the ornaments were so exclusive then why were they on the shelves.
